I have played this game since the release and I like to think that I was pretty good at this game at one point. Unfortunately, over the last few expansions/releases I have seen my success diminish substantially. While I managed to make it down to rank 13 and 15 regularly on previous occasions I am incapable of getting below 18 now. I'm only interested in playing rogue. All my cards are tied into that class. I don't have any additional dust. And I've already spent more than enough money on this game. I'm going to be honest, I don't think for a second that the classes in this game are fair and balanced. In fact, I'm of the mind that the newest spoiled cards for rogue are abject garbage. In fact, I don't think the game in general including the card balancing, is very fair. I always seem to be stuck with horrible first hand card draws even after a Mulligan. And what's up with constantly getting the same card back that you had originally after a Mulligan? I'm tired of needing to draw a Sinister Strike and getting a Backstab instead. I'm tired of having two boomeranging Sinister Strikes in my opening hand when I face a hunter or two Preparations and a Emp Thau in my hand when I'm facing a druid (Maly rogue).
I have read up on all of the related resources on a variety of websites. Hearhpwn, Icy Veins, Bnet Forums, Youtube. I even watched hundreds of play throughs on YouTube. However I have to admit that I do not know everything and while I may be very good at some games, I may just be very atrocious at this one. In fact I'm going to admit that I am probably very very bad at this game right now. Over the last month I have been incapable of reaching beyond rank 17. I have also been incapable of winning more than 25 to 30% of my games. Where I was winning 55 to 60% of my games and easily achieved a golden rogue, I now only win rarely, losing automatically against shaman, warrior, hunter, mage, and even paladin. I rarely have success against warlock. And I only consistently win against priest. I obviously want this to change. Therefore I'm coming to you all for help. I'm looking for experienced rogue players that can offer some much appreciated assistance. I'm looking for people that can reach lower ranks explicitly only with rogue classes. Some help with deck design or spectating games would be outstanding.
I love rogue and have several different decks for that class, we could play and maybe I'll be able to help you out. I am in no way someone legend every month, but that's probably more due to the fact I just.. don't play ranked. I guess you welcome any help anyway ^^
If it makes you feel any better, this is quite possibly one of the most toxic metas for rogue: Poor matchups vs Shaman, Hunter and tempo Mage, while not even having insane winrates vs the decks you're meant to beat such as control Warrior or anyfin Paladin. Right now the only class I see which allows me to sit back in my chair and relax a little, is Priest. Vs all the others I find myself looking at my starting hand and asking myself 'how the fuck am I even going to survive beyond t6', and that's using a strong Malyrogue variant.
While all of these decks can beat YOU with perfect card draws (not so rare to see Trogg > Totem Golem > Totem Golem or Trogg > Coin wolves for example) by about t5-6, your only all-in option early, a huge VanCleef, is countered by ALL of the current popular decks having some form of hard removal.
I got legend easily the first season Standard released with a double Sap, double Cold Blood Leeroy win condition, and trust me, in this meta I'd barely be capable of taking that above r10 before losing my hair.
The odds are pretty much just against you. I think what's particularly demoralising is that your HARDEST matchup, midrange shaman, is not only the most prevalent but also the easiest. The guys playing the deck on r20 won't be doing anything very different to the guys playing it at r1. The deck plays itself. Stay strong till the xpansion!

What the actual fuck? What kind of Rogue deck have you been playing? Rogue is good against a lot of decks out there, and definitely has a good winrate against Shaman if you don't play like a monkey.
I tried to add everyone that left their tag in here but no one seems to have accepted. If anyone that is experienced playing this class can spare some time to help out and start or spectate I'd be very very grateful. I play in NA my gamer tag is Nightmare#1341. Thanks.

I'll add you. I'm not on very often but when I am I can spectate you.

I state pretty clearly in the post which you're trashing without any arguments that I've been playing Malyrogue.
Tell me how Rogue has a 'good' winrate vs midrange shaman, if you can. You lose to Spirit Claws alone pretty much. How can you build a board vs 2 x Maelstrom 2 x Lightning Storm always +Spell Power buffed? How can you ever win back the tempo without any real board clear vs t4-5 0 cost Thing from Below plays? I'm curious.
PS I realise it looks like I'm saying it isn't possible to beat these guys - of course it is, this is a game of luck. Even so, I don't think Malyrogue is the favoured party here, even if it's only like 60-40 or so.

Sorry if I offended you, mate. Spirit Claws is not a problem at all, if you can build a board spirit claws doesn't matter. Now, you say you can't build a board, but Storm just comes later since Rogue is slow to build a board so by then you should have already cycled a lot with auctioneer and by the time they play a board clear you just dump your hand and build your board again. Turn 4-5 0 mana Thing for Below is rare and if they do that Shadowstrike/Spell power + Fan do the job just fine. If they span those pesky 3 health minions I just play Kobold + Fan. You keep countering their plays while doing some face damage and then finish it with a Malygos combo. The way to lose this match up is by drawing poorly and having a very aggressive opponent, other than that you can win just fine if you play well. Sorry again. I have 60% win rate against Shaman, so Malygos Rogue is definitely not bad against them, but I would understand if you don't consider that a good win rate sir. Good luck on your laddering and sorry again for anything!

Hello.
I would but I never notice you.
I added both Cygnus and Magicguy. Please let me know if you receive the invitation. Thanks for the volunteer.
You can add me if you want, I'm playing tons of Rogue just in these days!
Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!
