I just got 1.6k dust and was wondering what was more interesting for rogue Edwin VanCleef or Malygos ...i could also just get the cookie cutter and craft Grommash Hellscream.
Both open new win conditions, one is pure starts for miracle and one creates it's own combo archetype.
Both class legendary cards are great. Edwin VanCleef is more useful for Rogue players. That said, Malygos is neutral legendary and can be used in other decks too.
If you are a Rogue player - get Edwin VanCleef first. If you are a Warrior player - get Grommash Hellscream. Fits in all Warrior decks.
If you want to try something new / combo decks / other types with other heroes - go with Malygos. However, it never stays in meta for long time. Sadly goes on and off.
So invest wisely.

Betrayer... In truth, it was I who was betrayed. Still, I am hunted. Still, I am hated. Now, my blind eyes see what others cannot: that sometimes the hand of fate must be forced! Now go forth... unleash the tides of Doom... Upon all those...who would oppose us.
Malygos is used more overall, since it's a neutral and has use in several decks. But, as others have said, Edwin is almost an auto-include for rogue. If you intend on playing rogue primarily, go Edwin.
you can't go wrong either way since they are classics and will never rotate out.
Depends on what you like. Malygos can be used in other classes, it's also really fun to burst your opponent to 0 when they thought they had the game. Edwin can only be used in rouge but is extremely good to have if you enjoy playing as rouge.
I'd say Edwin is for the one that want's to be the most competitive with Rouge and Malygos is for the player that want to have funzies, even though Malygos Rouge aint bad either... :)
(I'd pick Edwin but i also enjoy having as competitive a deck as possible.
Edwin is in every Rogue deck including Malygos so I'd make him first. Malygos Rogue is harder to learn/play so it's better to get the hang of Miracle first anyway. There are Malygos Druid things that are possible but that's a little more niche. Grom is obviously in every Warrior deck, depends on what you feel like playing, but here you are in the Rogue forum so it sounds like you like Rogue better

The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!

The classic tier: Reno Jackson | Elise Starseeker | Brann Bronzebeard.
Edwin is better at this time
