Im been playing pirate rogue lately and the deck is just so much fun to play, since the deck is 100% tempo driven i though if blizzard introduced some new cards on the next expansions and changes some cards that already exist this deck could become a viable rogue deck besides Oil rogue, since raptor rogue is not that good.
Here are a few changes that i think could help the deck fight for a spot for beest rogue deck and might become something good.
Van cleef is powerfull card and making the card a pirate or a pirate with effect that look like it would improve the deck alot.
This is probably what pirates need to become a thing, the sinnergy with ships cannon is insane and could turn the thing around for rogue.
And last, the thing that pirate deck need is card draw since the curve is low and prep+sprint is not that tempo driven, and making it for u to have a pirate on hand or on the board could balance this card right and give this deck what lacks and maybe become something viable in the future.
if anyone have any ideas that could make this archetype work, i would love to see them
I've played a couple random pirate decks, and I like this idea a lot.
Another suggested changes would be to make Shady Dealer a pirate. I currently procs off of pirates, but isn't a pirate itself.
I also think a new, pirate-specific weapon could be pretty interesting. Maybe something that boosts the stats of a pirate (like Glaivzooka) or that gets more durability when you have a pirate.
As a general note, I'd also love a high-durability-low-attack weapon that procs combo when you attack with it. Could provide interesting mana savings with Rogue decks generally.

That is why i said that we need more pirates and defias would be just too good on a deck like that, the other route they could take is make new pirate cards and focus on the combo mechanic so it could be balanced out in some way and make a legendary like this to give it a boost
I really hope blizzard push something for rogues on the next expansion but for me what it need at this moment is card draw because of the low curve and maybe some powerfull pirates that can make a impact on the board, i loved the justicar on the deck and after i saw that i though that they could make a pirate legendary that would change the rogue hero power and make more like the beta one, that could be something nice for a change
My intention was to make the hero power have sinnergy with the weapons, but if u give the weapon +1/+1 each turn would make the hero power way too overpower, but maybe a permanent +1 in the weapon could help a little, im really hoping blizzard do something and push some changes and make this more viable, that could shake things up on a meta that is all secret paladin and combo druid, is becoming kind boring and those fun decks really make worth the while
Your idea is like a Sense of demons for pirates, is not bad i must say, but a card like adrenaline rush would make the deck consistent something that the deck is not at the moment, the parrot was nerfed long ago from 1/2 to 1/1 and that make no sense, if they changed the stat line back to 1/2 that could maybe fit into the decks
There already is a draw mechanic for pirates: Captain's Parrot. Frankly, it's really just not that good. A card more along the lines of the one that opened this thread (draw 2 if you're holding a pirate), I think would be more useful.
Also, my most recent pirate deck had the inklings of something good, but when I dropped the pirates from it, it just ran much better. (Sadly, the only pirates left in it are Southsea Deckhand and Bucaneer.) I think a few of the changes mentioned here, and it could be both pirate themed and overall better. Still, the key for me would be to push two things: (a) card draw and (b) weapon synergy. There's a lot of attempted weapon synergy, but none of it is all that good just yet.
Ship's Cannon is hard to lose since the card is soo good when u can make the plays, One-eyed Cheat i never used on any of my pirate decks tho, but since Rogue are losing oil that is the main rogue card from this meta, i really hope they bring some new rogue cards and make the deck a viable thing for us to play with it

Is anyone else concerned by the upcoming change in standard that will be removing some of the most important cards for pirate synergy? I certainly am.
