LOL this guy is either trolling or got steamrolled by a Priest deck.
Priest can look OP if all goes their way. Priest have is have trouble consistency, a good amount of their spells/effects are conditional and could be a dead card if those condition are not met.
I don't even feel bad if I get steamrolled by priests. They just have one of those games where they have the right cards at the right time, but in general its the class im most comfortable to play against.
Mind Vision? The 1 mana cantrip that doesn't thin your deck, gives you something that likely doesn't fit with your game plan, and doesn't affect the board or your opponent in any way? That Mind Vision? I agree, Mind Vision is super OP.
Especially when they combo it with Lorewalker Cho. If you thought 16 copy/steal effects were OP, just wait until a Priest starts stealing your Mind Visions with Mind Vision. Such mouth breathers.
Yeah, Priests are a total coinflip. First, they have to have the answers to your specific problem in their deck in the first place, and second, they have to actually draw them in time to use them. If either of those things fail, they lose. If you simply don't bother posing any questions and just sit back and answer the questions they pose efficiently, they fail, because they don't pack that many questions. They're able to lose on either extreme, and they have to get lucky in the middle.
Just keep in mind that in any string of 100 coin flips, it's statistically quite likely that there will be a string of 7 heads. Don't let the string of lucky Priests who won their coinflips put you on tilt; that's just how the class works.

I looked at this card originally and I thought, you know, it's a card, and you play this card. The card will be that card that you play so you're playing a card. So, it is one thing to play a card. If you're opponent doesn't really have any cards, the card will screw up the card pretty hard, and that means it's a pretty good card.
Its been rush>control from the start till now. See the top decks and top ranks. All rush decks. Priest is getting destroyed by them most of the time.
This is innacurate. Rush deck is popular because its fast, and is an efficient way of laddering. When you check tournaments there are very few aggro decks, most of them are midrange, combo, control.
Priest is fun, better than it used to be but definitely not OP.
In this meta can look really strong because the new control priest actually crushes paladins (i kinda have 80 % win rate vs both aggro, secret and midrange), is the only deck right now wich can try to win consistently against aggro shaman, and can easily deal with Reno Warlock too (unless Jaraxxus comes in play too early) and these are the most popular decks on ladder atm.
It has unfavorable matchup (as my stats say, but I may be wrong) against druid, CW and even tempo mage. So, looks fair enough: i wouldn't say top tier, my guess is that because of the favour in these specific matchups, Control Priest is now tier 2, nothing more.
And, last but not least, it is a very difficult deck to play: i met a ton of players who probably never consistently played priest before and destroyed them in mirror matches, just because "now priest is OP, amaz plays priest OH OH" :)
I have a sample of 68 games with my entomb control deck and the only class im consistently winning against is control warrior, rest is about 50% so even though i enjoy playing priest i actually had to go to flamewaker mage to actually rank up. (rank 7 atm).
i have played more games with my priest but in the beginning it wouldn´t register the games where i drew a "entombed" card.(that wasn´t in the deck to begin with).
Compare below priest with my flamewaker mage stats...then come say how op the new priest is.

With endless hard removal options, the ability to steal 15+ cards* from the opponents deck and clear the board 8 times, it seems there is no point doing anything but conceed vs priests these days. Priests were already pretty much the king of card advantage with the tools they had before, but now with Entomb and still more board clear added to the lineup we are at the reality of trying to defeat a 45 card deck with only 15 cards to work with. Not entirely clear why it is "balanced" for priests to have more board clear spells than mages, since all their steal cards are all guaranteed 2 for 1 trades as it is, but I don't see how this class can be left in its current state for the health of the game. Games vs priest are basically a guaranteed loss, that is going to waste waste 40+ minutes of your life while some mouth breather takes rope time every turn to decide which of the 6 removal options in his hand he is going to play this turn.
You can't put minions on the board, since he will just steal them or remove them. It seems the deck is far less interactive than patron warrior ever was, with the added downside that the games are exceptionally long and tedious since the priest barely runs any minions of their own, and seems to never have any win condition cards, they just rely on you playing your cards and then putting them into their own deck for guaranteed card advantage every single time. So what do you guys think, what exactly explains the balance behind why priests are allowed so much hard removal combined with more board clears than any class except warlock, as well as the ability to copy half the cards out of their opponent's deck, ensuring they will always have card advantage in every game, no matter what.
This is a serious question though, because if you look at the long term game, it is about card advantage. No other class has ANY chance of maintaining card advantage vs a modern priest deck. So the only way priest loses is if he somehow does not draw the board clear in time. But hey, you can run 8 board clears so the odds of drawing a clear is at least 26% every draw, increasing each time you don't get one. By turn 5 you had at least 8 draws at 1 in 4 or better odds to get a clear, aka the odds of not having a board clear by turn 5 are exceptionally low.
Warlock can keep card advantage. Patron can get card advantage. Rogue too. Paladin can catch up to priest card advantage with divine favour. Mage can duplicate + echo of Mediev.
Card advantage doesn't matter vs. tempo decks, aggro decks.
Combo decks can beat you pretty easily if you have a hand full of board clears.
I wish OP was true, then I could dust off the handlock.
But I actually like the priest class now, even if I don't play too much priest. Control priest counters pallies well, and that was desperately needed. Sure, we had dragonpriest - but it has too many unfavored matchups to make genuine impact.

It would help if you shared what decks you are playing. I get the feeling that you are an aggro deck try-hard.
Let me quote your silly comment and provide a response, "No other class has ANY chance of maintaining card advantage vs a modern priest deck", priest losses to a SINGLE card. If a warlock can get into Jaxx on an open board and avoid a combo, they will beat priest with that single card. After 2-3 turns the infernal flood is real and overwhelming.

Thanks for sharing your stats, honestly surprised your win rate was that high vs warlocks (43%). The only way I can see a reno lock losing to control priest at the moment is:
1. horrible starting hand w/o healbot or reno in first 10 cards
control priest is actually one of the best decks right now. entomb pushes your winrate vs. other control and cancer pally decks so much.
I don't think aggro can consistently beat it because it has to draw really well and even then if the priest mulligans right and has early game removal, taunts or card draw most aggro deck players will overextend into a full board clear with auchenai + circle, holy nova or light bomb from which point you win with card advantage.
I'm playing two different takes on a Dragon Priest this season, and my win rates are very good atm...and I love when I face aggro decks. Most of the time I win, but sometimes I get really bad starting hands tho.
Just Tiron got harder life with entomb which is good cuz 99% secret paladins isn't healthy in meta
I have spent way too long trying figure out what in the fuck this sentence is trying to say.
I believe you are saying that mot secret paladins run tirion, which gets countered by entomb, however that doesn't really swing priest in favor against paladins. I for one have always had pretty ok luck against paladins with priest, and entombing an mc or tirion is pure FeelsGoodMan.

Step 1: Lose to a Priest 3 times in a row
Step 2: Make your way to Hearthpwn, go full Doomsayer and tell everyone that Priest is overpowered and that it ruins the game.
Step 3: Expect Blizzard to nerf priest because you told them to
Step 4: Profit??
Priest is king of the meta? I guess that's why it has the single lowest play rate on ladder of all classes at present (sub 3%, even Shaman is higher).
Maybe you should actually try playing ranked.
"I fight because that is what I was made to do and the Empire is the instrument through which I realize my purpose.
The Empire is war made manifest. That is why it is perfect."
Priest only has tier 3 deck. This thread shows that some people can complain about anything.
Not all who wander are lost.

I am a long time (gold) priest player, and it is a good time to be playing priest... but I wouldn't call them OP.
I have to admit t is nice to have some non-dragon priest decks being seen in ranked again.
18 then with Convert Kappa
