With endless hard removal options, the ability to steal 15+ cards* from the opponents deck and clear the board 8 times, it seems there is no point doing anything but conceed vs priests these days. Priests were already pretty much the king of card advantage with the tools they had before, but now with Entomb and still more board clear added to the lineup we are at the reality of trying to defeat a 45 card deck with only 15 cards to work with. Not entirely clear why it is "balanced" for priests to have more board clear spells than mages, since all their steal cards are all guaranteed 2 for 1 trades as it is, but I don't see how this class can be left in its current state for the health of the game. Games vs priest are basically a guaranteed loss, that is going to waste waste 40+ minutes of your life while some mouth breather takes rope time every turn to decide which of the 6 removal options in his hand he is going to play this turn.
You can't put minions on the board, since he will just steal them or remove them. It seems the deck is far less interactive than patron warrior ever was, with the added downside that the games are exceptionally long and tedious since the priest barely runs any minions of their own, and seems to never have any win condition cards, they just rely on you playing your cards and then putting them into their own deck for guaranteed card advantage every single time. So what do you guys think, what exactly explains the balance behind why priests are allowed so much hard removal combined with more board clears than any class except warlock, as well as the ability to copy half the cards out of their opponent's deck, ensuring they will always have card advantage in every game, no matter what.
With endless hard removal options, the ability to steal up to 9 cards from the opponents deck and clear the board 8 times, it seems there is no point doing anything but conceed vs priests these days. Priests already seemed to be king of card advantage with the tools they had before, but now with Entomb and still more board clear added to the lineup (seriously, they should be adding board clear to classes like druid and warrior before they throw more at the over-loaded priest class) it is like facing down a 40 card deck with only 20 cards of your own. I feel the nerf hammer will have to follow at some point as there really is no point in playing a match out vs one of these losers since you are guaranteed a loss, but only after wasting 40+ minutes of your life while the mouth breather takes rope time every turn to decide which of the 6 removal options he has in hand to play this turn. You can't put minions on the board, since he will just steal them or remove them. It seems the deck is far less interactive than even patron warrior was, with the added dopwnside that the games are exceptionally long and tedious as there is basically nothing the opponent can do,... there's no point playing minions since he just steals them, there's no point playing spells as there is no spell combo to remove 30 health in one turn. So, do you priests actually think this is an interesting way to play the game? Seriously
Want some cheese with that? How many top 100 legends are playing priest atm? Have you tried playing the deck itself? I´m laddering control entomb priest and can name a few good counters...renolock, anyfin paladin and aggro shaman for example.

It's called "control", son. It's interactive, since you can push at faster rate than he can remove stuff. Patron was bad not because it was control, but because it was easy OTK. Control decks are totally fine, tho.
This is a serious question though, because if you look at the long term game, it is about card advantage. No other class has ANY chance of maintaining card advantage vs a modern priest deck. So the only way priest loses is if he somehow does not draw the board clear in time. But hey, you can run 8 board clears so the odds of drawing a clear is at least 26% every draw, increasing each time you don't get one. By turn 5 you had at least 8 draws at 1 in 4 or better odds to get a clear, aka the odds of not having a board clear by turn 5 are exceptionally low.
lol I beat control priest like 80% of the time with control warrior still. Tank Up + Elise Starseeker give the priest a complete nightmare if they want to take the game to fatigue, which if they do they can't play power word shield or use northshire cleric giving them a ton of dead cards where as the warrior just gets to turn their dead cards in to legendary minions because of the golden monkey.
Priest is the most reactive class in the game by nature. Either they draw into their answers at the right time,or they just lose the game. If they didn't have the best removal in the game to make up for it,the class would be unplayable(kind of like how it used to be a few expansions back).
Waiting until turn five to play a removal can hurt a lot... What deck are you running that struggle so against priest?
You must have shit luck with the opponent generator, too. Mine always just pass 'orange rhymer' and 'mouth breather' and land on 'worthy opponent'. Report to Blizzard, maybe?
You are wrong, it is very common on ladder to face double Thoughtsteal, double Mind Vision double Cabal, double Entomb these days.
"You are wrong" do you even know how to make a single logical argument? You cannot just say "you are wrong" without having any proof. If that was how arguments were made logically, the person you replied to could simply say that you were wrong, and it would be an endless chain of "No, you are wrong" responses.
I don't know what ladder you're playing on, but it's not the current meta. Unless you're playing casual or at Rank 25 - and even then, it's uncommon - you will rarely ever see people running those cards in the specified quantities.
If you want people to take your argument seriously, you need evidence. Without evidence your claims have no foundation and therefore are invalid.

I don't even care that you're wrong, that was just way too funny to read ;D
Apparently this guy only breathes through his nose...smh. Never understood why people use that as insult. It's a natural respiratory function. Like, that's the best insult you could think of? Really?

I think it kind of makes sense. It's supposed to suggest someone who leaves their mouth wide open, stares into space, and breathes very loudly.
I don't think Priest is necessarily the King of the ladder since I personally play decks that destroy them. I run the new Pillager/Oil Rogue with 1 Sprint and 1 Gadgetzan, and I've currently been 6-0 against Priest in the ladder, albeit I'm only around rank 4 at the moment so I'll keep you updated if the Priest players get better in legend...
Mindvision and toughsteal don't steal cards, they copy. A lot of cards are not even played, ever.
I have a win rate around 75% vs these kind of priest decks with midrange paladin. Sure, they entomb my tyion and ysera, but you can still win because midrange can keep the presure on all time.

(*16 cards are stolen from the opponents deck via Mind Vision 2 + Thoughtsteal 4 + Shadow Madness 2 + Mindgames 2 + Cabal Shadow Priest 2 + Entomb 2 + Mind Control 2, nevermind the possibility of Sylvanas Windrunner)
