Don't you people have problems with fatigue and running excavated evil in entomb priest? I'm often only a few cards ahead of my opponent until fatigue begins, and excavated only makes it worse.
Also, Justicar seems meh to me if you're not running Auchenai. 4 Heal for 2 mana is decent but not as crazy as 4 Armor, while 4 dmg is really good.
nobody has a problem with running excavated evil because nobody actually runs that shit lol. Seriously that card is garbage. Symmetrical damage, no dmg to hero, gives your enemy the card to use against you, gives your enemy anti-fatigue value etc.
Well, then I'm glad that I haven't tried it so far. But several people seem to actually like it, including even some pro players, so I'm still left wondering.

Well I can't answer for every pro, but I'll ask you this how often do you actually see someone run it in ladder? I've not seen it once and I don't think it's because it's HS's best kept secret OP card lol. It's because the card is really bad. There are some pros who also believe Everyfin is good, even though it's seeing no play on ladder. Yea yea, it's awesome on paper but you gotta stick with what actually works in practice, not just on paper.

I think - I haven't played priest in a long time, let alone Excavated Evil - it's because this is a really good anti-aggro card. None of their minions will resist, yours likely will, and if they draw it that's a dead card for them which, because of the usual card deprivation they face, will really screw them over.
Think about a zoolock drawing it. Really, what's he gonna do ? Yeah, lifetap, because it's as good as drawing nothing ; If he doesn't have a board, he's already lost and this won't do anything for him except waste 5 mana + 2 for the lifetap, leaving him with 3 mana to entirely shift the game, yeah good luck ; If he has one, he better not cast that and you just wasted one of his draws.
Sure in control match-ups ( Which is the meta right now, hence why while the card may be great, it doesn't see play ), it kinda sucks ( Much like Deathlord, it's godlike against aggro but against control it can f*ck you up real bad ), but deeming the card worthless because of that is harsh.
Thank you, Komorebi3! Against aggro (and Midrange Pala ;)) this card is GODLIKE, against Control and Combo it sucks.
As I just started ladder for this month, this card does a great job for me, because I play a lot against aggro decks and they will hate it to draw this card. Of course, like Loatheb, you do not always see how much it affects them, but it can have a huge impact.
Against face Hunter it can win you the game, if he draws this card instead of something that deals damage to your face...
Have you guys actually found Entomb useful? I feel its commonly just a dead card when trying to survive the onslaught of Zoo Locks, secret Pallys and various kind of Hunters and Druids.
Zoolocks can be tough, but the others are very winnable. Entomb Pally's Dr. 6 after procing secrets, entomb Hunter's Savanna Highmane, and entomb Druid's Druid of the Claw, Ancient of War, Fel Reaver, etc. for value town parties.
Entomb has effectively made Mind Control obsolete.
Not quite true. Mind Control is still better in some ways. 10 mana for a Ysera or Rag, and you have immediate value. Compare this to paying 6 to entomb and then recast...Ysera costs 15 mana, Rag 14.
Ive been running Shadowform Priests like for 3 months now. Always finishing Rank 4 / Rank 5. I ve been legend before with Control Warrior (Its a post in my profile with the deck and proofs/pics). And now we found the ULTIMATE WEAPON we need!!!!!
I winstreak from 15 to 9 in a breez. Then I switched to a Reno version (whos not working kind well... yet)
If someone interested I can construct and post the deck.
Opponent Took control of my Djinni of Zephyrs with Sylvannas, which copies spells cast on friendly minions. Then they entomb another one of my minions. Even though my other minion was no longer "friendly" to the Djinni, it put both cards in my opponent's deck. Take that!
Too bad i had already conceded at the time the second minion was entombed...
I wonder when the first "Nerf Entomb" threads will appear. hihi. Maybe they already did.
I don't think it will really be that cried out largely because Priest was not that strong of a class to begin with (so even a strong card may not be unbalanced) and because the class it counters best, Paladin, is probably the most hated class by this community in this meta right now, so sympathy for them is likely quite low.

That is true, but it can be a stronger tempo advantage if you can play another answer the same turn (where Mind Control gives you no turn). I can see MC stronger on Rag overall, but I think what he meant is that it will obsolete MC out of decks - you wouldn't play MC in a deck just because it's better than Entomb on a single minion which is rarely even played that much anymore.

I Dont think that is a glitch Since once you cast the spell that minion is Considered yours and so Dijnni Effect triggers
Priest is becoming the "I will use your own deck against you" class. And I think that's really cool. It's so reactive and forces you to understand the deck you are facing to play against it well.
Unlike combo decks like freeze mage, which may take skill to play, but your opponent doesn't matter all that much. You just need to draw into your combos and delay your opponent. Or any face deck which takes literally no skill to play, I don't care what huntards wish people thought.
So even though I don't play a lot of priest, I really like the direction the class seems to be taking. And of course, with Dragon Priest still being a solid deck, you don't know exactly which priest you are getting until you get a few turns in.
I hate that card, it is so irritating to play against:)

I have entombed so many Tirions today I still ask myself why Paladins even play it against me.
Im having INFINITE value.

There's a funny Entomb glitch...

please post the deck man :D
Entomb really could off been a rogue card
Exactly the same But Called Bribe
Here are the 3 Priest decks I have been laddering with, all featuring Entomb. 2x might be a bit clunky in dragon priest...still play testing.
Can replace Vol'jin and Jones with something else?

(Dragon Mage is still the best Dragon deck! :)
