Do you think this dragon priest that's running around will be a competitive high tier deck or just a kind of try out the new cards for the new classes type of deck?
It'll be competitive. I don't know if any of the lists running around are optimal, but like I was saying before TGT launched, having some of the best cards at each mana cost up until turn 6 makes it rather easy to gain and keep board control.
Short answer is yes, it is a competitive high tier deck. I'm not sure if you're referring to Reynad's more aggressive deck or Kibler's more control oriented one (I prefer Kibler's version) but essentially every version of dragon priest has just a disgusting set of openers that set you ahead even BEFORE the big dragons.
They've got two 1 drops (2/3 and 1/3 + card draw mechanic), power word shield, one of the most broken 2 drops out there right now (2/4 taunt), a 3/5 3 drop (if you run it), a 3/6 taunt 4 drop and the hero power to trade and maintain board control. Couple that with strong 5 drops from corrupter and vol'jin and it's really difficult for anyone to wrestle board control from you early.

I beat it all the time with my control warrior deck. It usually loses steam after I brawl or clear their board and once I drop Varian it's over for them.
I think yes. I have ~66% win rate at 300-ish legend. I think it's good enough to stay as a competitive constructed deck even meta changes.
I am thinking now it is really strong, but i'm thinking if aggro and patron become strong will it be able to beat them.
Aggro is absolutely no problem for dragon priest. The early drops are all extremely anti aggro and the 2/4 or 3/6 early taunts can stop aggro in their tracks.
I haven't played enough patron to comment but I imagine it would do fine.

How does it perform against Patron at that level?
Only faced against 4 Patron Warrior so far and got 2-2 (surprise). Much better than pre-TGT Control Priest vs Patron Warrior but still a hard match-up IMO. If you can force out 2 Execute, Chillmaw becomes your win condition because Patron Warrior can't go through it. Twilight Guardian holds decently against Grim Patron and survives Death's Bite. It really depends on Patron Warrior's draw.
It's quite a decent competitive priest deck but does need to be tweaked and optimised more. I feel it's semi weak to Warrior/Paladin with Brawl/Equality clears being a nuisance. I definitely think the deck needs a lightbomb in there to help clear the board when you've in a bad spot.
This is my version I'm currently playing that has gone 18W - 11L (62% win rate) at Rank 5-3.
Just curious what are your reasons for not including chillmaw? I have had exclusively good results.
Chillmaw is Detrimental when ahead on board and board clears like Holy Nova and Lightbomb are better when behind. When the board is kinda in-between the deathrattle is useless. Dr. Boom outclasses this card. Noteable very strong against Piloted Shredder though :P

I agree that lightbomb and holy nova are better clears, but when in a pinch it can be a 6/6 body and a clear and really take over the board from a losing situation. It also counts as a dragon in your hand if you don't find the time to play it.
Any consideration for confessor paletress? Just curious because I got it from a pack and used it a couple times and it did some good things. I don't like using chrommagus so I tried replacing it for a while, haven't tested in ranked.
It doesn't CRUSH patron.. I managed to get everyone in here against this deck.. but well the priest against me kept warmsong a few turns foe killing the patron so I used berserjers the deal is to keep the 2_4 alive so you can get nore patrons.

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.

Yes it is competitive. Just don't put in Chillmaw

Chillmaw is an MVP... why wouldn't you include it?
10 minutes after posting this Chillmaw wiped the board of a Mech Shaman's cancer and won me the game...

Also is voljin a must in this deck? He is one of the only legends I don't have.

Vol'jin is not a must. Check my list out.

Could you guys give some feedback on my version of this deck? (don't have vol'jin)
Rend is for big minions like tirion fordring and ysera which can destroy if not dealt with.
2 velens is to have a more consistent early game if I don't draw into dragons.

I think it will be a tier 2 deck when the dust settles. It is a decent deck, but I would not call it the real deal.
