Having an issue with aggro and combo. My deck is more control oriented, so it makes sense that combo (OTK Hunter) is strong against me. But if I don't get a perfect draw, I lose to aggro real fast.
The only reason I feel this deck is good against stuff like Highlander decks or Rogue is because I can drag the game 500 turns, eventually out-valuing them. If I start cutting out stuff like double Plague of Death then I'll probably struggle against these decks too.
I wish I had the gold and dust to craft Highlander Priest, but that's not the case.
Maybe you have a bit too many removal spells, especially the 2 x Plague of Death seems a bit of an overkill. I'd say remove a couple of your spells and add a copy or two of Sethekk Veilweaver, a great value-generating minion.
You're not running Apotheosis? RIP. That's an enormous stabilizing tool.
Artificer is a trap in Priest. You need it and the spell to combo, and you have no card draw. The feel good moments that you clear a 4 health board with Breath/Nova or heal 12 with Penance don't offset how passive this really is. Sethekks and even Lazul and Kaahrj are way better.
2 Plagues is overkill, you don't need to drag the games until fatigue, Gala Priest can take board and mount a counter pressure. Rogue isnt always gonna be rolling dragon lackeys. And you don't want to give them time to find a Scheme and use it on Kronx. You just put minion after minion on board, get the value trades and push face.
I would not play plague of death at all in this deck, its a dead card in your hand most of the time, you will die long before you can use it, when need arises you can always try to discover it with renew. I dont like vulpera in this deck, its such a big tempo loss. You want to get on the board early and use cheap removal. Murozond is a must in this deck, it can completely swing and win you the game, or come back from a lost position. If you Murozond rogues wand you usually win. Mindflayer is a very good card to add, you can also add Lazul, but dont count on it to save you all the time, 3 mana 3/2 is a huge tempo loss vs aggro. Sethek sounds good on paper, but in reality, it is not that viable, then again it is a good cheap minion to play on the board, if it soakes up 3 damage vs dh, it has already done its job, you could include one, the same could be said about artificer, it has its moments but its more like cannon fodder usually.
As someone said, apotheosis is your friend. I run twilight drake in mine and try to stick a drake then apotheosis next turn for the win ve. D3mon hunter. Smart dem9n hunters will use a ton of resources to remove the drake which is less optimal, but still good for me, buys time to get to the late game.

The deck is not just 'control oriented'. It cannot really match up vs aggro.
