That's the same reason why a lot of these players rope every turn and spam emotes. It's just toxicity and without any proper report function there's zero chance of punishment for it.
If we don't get a function to report those idiots is because retards like you that get salty at some decks and would report people playing them like a 3 years old child. Toxicity is a bad thing, but playing a deck doesn't make someone worse/better as some people try to make.
People complained about not having a Reno counter for years. Now that we finally get it, people are losing their minds.
The problem isn't a reno counter. That's fine, that's what the card is intended to do. It's when priests shuffles 20 copies of that stupid bird in my deck that triggers me. Ruins the fun.
Make it a Battlecry, problem solved
Changing to battlecry actually makes it worse. Rogues would be able to abuse it with Shadowstep. Shaman would be able to abuse it through Corrupt the Waters. And there's Brann Bronzebeard in wild. Way less birds, but easier to abuse in other classes.

You literally have no place to talk since you're being toxic to me here so obviously you'd be one of the ones getting reported.
I never even implied that I would report someone for playing a deck. I said I would report people for continually roping and spamming emotes, which, I'm sure totally coincidentally, is a thing that a lot of players of this particular deck just happen to do
Тhe fact the deck is played means someone is enjoying it. I don't like it either but that doesn't mean anything. Sometimes I like to jam some casino mage which is quite hated by some. Some guys don't dig thief rogue/priest either. Yes, those decks aren't consistent, but they're quite fun, we have to deal with it.
Not really. People don't enjoy the deck, they enjoy trolling and ruining others' gameplay experience.

Yes, because if you can't enjoy the deck that means that no one enjoys playing it.
Why would you enjoy playing a deck that isn't good, that loses 55-60% of games, and that wastes 20-30 minutes per game?
I mean if it actually won games then maybe but it doesn't even have that saving grace, it's just bad

Why would people enjoy crafting useless shit and running meme decks with 10% winrate? It is not up to you to judge nor understand. People enjoy different things. I don't understand it either but if they didn't like the deck they wouldn't play it.
Weasel Priest was one of my favorite decks of all time. It's just plain good fun. Adding things to the opponents deck is just a good way to spent time.
As a wild meme deck player, I sometimes play Weasel/Albatross Priest, and I agree that's very fun. I love games going on long.
Back when the first not very good variations of this deck popped up everyone lost their mind on how much of a crazy and fun meme deck it was and the second it became even close to being meta it apparently became pure cancer. People just don't know what they want and instead of trying to solve a problem that they are presented with, they start complaining. If you're having such a hard time playing vs this deck than you can either concede on sight or try to play decks that work against it and the only time waste I see is going onto a forum and start bitching about the deck, the players, the developer, god and the world.
Does nothing against res, only stops the first death rattle proc.
I'm on neither side of the debate, I don't really mind Albatross, but I've seen this touted as a solution too many times. It's also just a really bad tech card right now in a meta where your deck either needs to have or be able to respond to tempo. Tech cards are only good when 1)it's good enough on its own or 2)the proportion of the meta that the tech card responds to is great enough to increase the win rate on average. It's a combination of these two factors that, say, made ooze good (vanilla two drop that deals with DH).
I actually run Infectious Sporeling along with Magic Carpet and Rocket Augmerchant in my scrap imp zoolock. It's a vanilla 1 drop that still enjoys the benefit of Imprisoned Scrap Imp, but is so good against res priest. I'm on the verge of replacing the sporeling, but if res priest were ever to become big again, I would whip it out again. It got me from legend dumpster (7k) back to around 3k, for what that's worth.
There are counter options, but they are not equally available to all classes, some just don't fit in certain archetypes, and others are just bad. Pure pally, for instance, is pretty much just wrecked. But I wouldn't flat out say there are no counters, and I would also argue for a slow (post-nerf) card that aims to slow down the opponent in the long game (it's good against control but aggro doesn't aim to draw through most of its deck), there doesn't need to be a universal good counter for it. It doesn't warrant it. The issue lies with too much resurrection that multiplies the effect of the death rattle to a potentially problematic degree, so I say it's the priest res mechanic that needs countering or changing, not the albatross. There, we also deal with wild and the endless amounts of Convincing Infiltrator and Khartut Defenders.
I'm just playing along with this thread and looking at what the problem might be. Personally, I don't really care since it doesn't bother me too much. When I play highlander mage, I mulligan for polymorph or Zephrys into hex and try to avoid killing a turn 4 albatross if I can afford to wait. Also won against a res priest once despite them shuffling over 20 birds into my deck by being super greedy with my hand and always going for max value plays. When I play more tempo-based decks, I don't care about the birds. Basically I either have a plan to deal with it or don't care. Again, sorry pure pally. That deck is just hopeless in most matchups.
how can you call Polymorph or Hex a counter to albatross?? if that's the best counters out there, I think I should be playing more albatross in my decks imo
- the oppressive comments here are too brutal, we need to respect the game community, at least by a certain degree ,(even the aggro players ..)
- Albatross is a problematic card and Blizzard already addressed this, it's destroying the concept of highlander and "pure" decks.
- Blizzard should at least provide some tech cards against the albatross effect, currently there is no counter options.
In more than 40 games with Rogue this season(5 different meme archetypes) , i have more than 90% win rate against mainly Albatross Priest. Rogue can use Flik to destroy all the little birds, so technically it's a class specific card teched against Alb priest.

Because it is? Transform effect removes Albatross from the res pool. Those cards are just general res counters, and as control decks, which would run those cards, are also decks with a longer game plan, they benefit a lot if they can prevent having their draw bricked by many birds.
If you're considering playing more Albatross in a non-res priest deck to bait a polymorph or hex from better targets, you're really missing the point. Albatross sucks outside res priest, especially post nerf. Read all of this with res priest in mind.
Actually, it's pretty fun sometimes. One time I had a deck that had like 20 albatrosses in it, but I was playing quest warlock. I ruined that priests' day. I naturally drew all of them, took him into fatigue, and then archivist Ed and nomi'd for gg. Lol

I Like play albatross priest and spam well played and hello. Its really fun :DDDDDD
Why do people write topics like this?
It's not fun for people to read this.
It's not fun for the OP who wrote this.
It's just not very good and a giant waste of time.
The only reason I could see is he being butthurt and immature.
How screwed up in the head do you have to be?
Always expect the unexpectable!

Some people just want to watch the world burn.
For this people they don't need play HearthStone, just grab popcorn and turn on the TV...
