What i don't like about Pshychic Scream is that it's bad vs control. Against aggro it can be amazing because you shuffle a bunch of small minions without buffs back into their deck. But you don't actually destroy any big threats, stuff like ragnaros, Jan'alai, N'zoth etc. You just postpone it. Unless you are a combo deck that can win in 1-2 turns, you lose control games. People complain about big priest in wild, but the deck is very inconsistent. And even with the few minions you have, you don't want to give the enemy a ragaros, a y'shaarj.
It's a great tool to survive a few more turns, but if you don't have a strong/fast win condition, you will eventually lose.

All I'm reading here is "what I don't like about psychic scream is that it has some form of downside and isn't even more busted than it already is."
Psychic scream is the absolute best boardclear by a landslide. It's not even close.
Mass Hysteria is what Control Priests needed imo. Good mana cost, relevant against both aggro and control and doesn't lose you fatigue war unlike Psychic Scream.

List me a single successful priest deck that still tries to win in fatigue when they have Shadowreaper Anduin to whittle/burst down their opponent instead.
Psychic scream shuffling cards in your opponent's deck is a non-issue. In fact, it usually makes their draws worse which only further adds to the power level of the card.

I'm not saying Psychic scream is weak, nor am i complaining it has a downside. I'm just asking what you to compare the priest boardclears. Psychic is definitely powerful, but many people consider it the best because they see it played the most. For a long time, it was the only big boardclear priests had in standard, so in mosts players minds, they don't even think about other stuff.
Besides psychic scream, what boardclears do you think priests should have when playing rank wild? Is bomb worth it? Is duskbreaker good enough to include a small dragon package? stuff like this is what i want to know.

It isn't the best moment for priest in general but while Psychic Scream is a very powerful (clear the board inmediately, interfere a lot the gameplan of agro/combo decks and the deathrattle cards doesnt triger) Mass Hysteria is very good in diferent situations.
It cost 2 mana less, wich is very important in this kind of card, it's good against hunter spellstone and very good in different situations.
Maybe in standard Psychic Scream is better than in wild, because there are more unbalanced cards that can destroy you if you leave it uncontested.
Scream is better in both formats. The highest winrate clone and control priests on hsreplay all run 2x scream. Mass hysteria is run in some decks, but not all.
Edit: and big priest doesn't even run mass hysteria in wild. But what DO they run 2 copies of? That's right...
But Priest Board clear does all have it's uses: For example:
Excavated Evil: Surely, often considered as one of the weaker board clears; but even now it's quite a strong card in many Priest decks: from Reno to Dragon Priest it's often quite a strong card: not only since you can massively interfere with even decks like even shaman, it's quite a bad topdeck for many enemy decks; especially for aggro-decks. 3 damage to the whole board is often really not a big issue against your board. Also totally nearly forgot about Hunter: spellstone be gone.
Mass Hysteria is also quite a strong; but for example there are some decks in wild where this simply don't make the cut. Even Shaman for example (as above said) can get totally destroyed by Excavated evil, but against mass hysteria you often don't even kill a thing.
Lightbomb is probably the most consistent board clear: there are already only a tiny bunch of minions that have more health than attack, and most of them aren't dangerous without support. Except priest who value more health than attack, others do not. Often the best when the enemy board is gone, but yours is still alive; only damaged.
Psychic scream is the strongest by far; but as said before: you then always lose the fatigue war: still; when you put in a bunch of tokens, the enemy get's totally destroyed. And putting 4 wolves into an hunter-decks makes it now far far more less likely to win the game (no cards with legendary weapon and horrible topdecks) The biggest issue here is that you probably won't want to put in your high value-minions: screaming a Lich King in your opponents deck will always put i at one of the next 1-3 topdecks; always.
Shadow Word: Horror: was terribly bad at release, but with time it got better and better; yes, only small bunches gets crushed: but look what decks have lot of small crap: even shaman, odd paladin; sometimes only killing a doomsayer with it that's hidden behind a taunt it's worth to have this card.

Whoops, my bad.
Depends on what kind of deck you want to do. I'd say scream>lightbomb>dragonfire potion>mass hysteria
Hysteria seems too conditional, though I haven't played around with it much. Lightbomb gets you around even shaman's and even warlock's big threats, whereas dragonfire is usually 2-3 damage short. Duskbreaker in a dragon package is obviously great versus the faster decks like odd paladin, rogue and hunter. I'd include that card solely for that reason if you don't mind adding a dragon package.
If we think about absolute always pretty good no matter what matchup. It is Psychic Scream. Complete board wipe without triggering any stuff. All competitive Priest builds in Wild tend to win trough outvaluing or OTKing opponent so fatiques is not a thing. And if you really want to win trough fatique plan, Arcibishop got your back. In conclusion: Psychic Scream is bonkers and right behind it is Lightbomb and Dragonfire Potion.
In my reno priest deck I use dfp; psychic scream; duskbreaker; mass hysteria and spirit lash (good enough in combo with azure drake or thalnos) I don't use lightbomb because I didn't want to craft it.
So basically all board clears are nice to have ;-)

Priest has had quite a variety of boardclears, most of which are situational. Which ones do you think are best in wild?
Psychic Scream-if not combined with Archbishop Benedictus, it will lose you the fatigue game;
Dragonfire Potion-Countered by dragon decks;
Lightbomb-Not very good against minion with low attack and high health;
Excavated Evil-can bite you in the face later in the game;
Holy Nova-usually not strong enough;
Mass Hysteria-luck be with you. on average it's Brawl, but it could be better or worse;
Shadow Word: Horror-only good against swarm deck, but can be combod with Pint-Size Potion.
Duskbreaker-requires a dragon package, which is not that good in wild;
I hope i didn't miss any.
*EDIT: Nvm.
Definitely Psychic Scream. Gets rid of buffs, deathrattles and just generally slows down your opponent by heaps.

My setup usually include
1x Scream
2x DFP
In midrange dragon
2x Dusk
2x DFP
And in Reno builds
1x Scream
1x DFP
1x Lightbomb
I'm also testing Mass Hysteria but it looks so inconsistent, most of the time won't hurt Even Shaman

Why do want to pick one ? just play them all (except Holy Nova), none of them is perfect but they cover each other's weak points.
Depends on the enemy,
vs aggro\midrange or fast and swarm decks, Duskbreaker and Mass Hysteria
Control Decks\Midrange(specially hunter) Psychic Scream.

The only successful quest priest deck runs topsy turvy OTK.
Try again :)
