In my opinion Mass Hysteria a 10x better card than Psychic Scream maybe this was obvious to others before the release but i don't how this card is considered a rare not only to mention it costs 2 less mana and acutally gets rid of minions most of the time. I still think Psychic Scream has its uses as far as stalling players from getting the necessary cards but as far as board clears go in the game right now it might be the best one based on cost efficiency and overall effectiveness.
Has anyone else felt that this card is going to be a mainstay in just about every priest deck for the next year and a half?
The way I see it Mass Hysteria is a better board removal specially against aggro, but Psychic Scream can be more useful against control/combo decks. You can avoid triggering deathrattles that way and that can be a life saver against things like taunt druid or deathrattle focused decks and it can make the opponent draws worse, and that can win you the game against combo decks. Both of them are really good and it depends on the type of deck you are running and facing. Also you can also run both of them if your objective is stalling for example, so I think that Mass Hysteria will be played but it will not completly substitute Scream.

Yeah and scream can be devastating against token and buff decks.
Tbh for me Psychic Scream is still superior. If you manage to survive until turn 7, you can clog your opponent's deck with cheap minions and ruin their next draws.
I remember I was struggling against odd paladin in wild, I was below 10 health, but after I screamed my opponent, they drew a bunch of worthless dudes for several turns. This gave me the opportunity to develop a board and to heal myself with Amara.
I also have a lot of success against Even shaman in this regard - if I put totems in their deck, their Murkspark Eel doesn't trigger.
The reason why PS is better is because it can deal with all sorts of minions - buffed, deathrattles (Cube hunter, Cubelock), divine shield etc etc. This is also very, very, very strong in a combo deck (pre-nerfed Razakus, Mecha'thun priest), because you slow down your opponent (especially if you make them draw cheap cards). Mass Hysteria can whiff - the outcome depends on the RNG and on the board state.
In control vs control Hysteria is better. Versus super agressive decks, which don't allow you to reach turn 6+, Hysteria is better. In any other case - PS.
IMO Psychic Scream is better. 1: 100% boardclear 2: No deathrattles applied 3: Your cards in your opponents deck, which means they have a harder time to draw their synergy cards
Both cards are good as they are best used in different scenarios. One quick example from the top of my head, you wouldn't want to Psychic Scream a board against Kingsbane rogue.
It's good to make a deck with both, and depending on what you are facing you can use a 2:1 ratio (if you don't want to waste 4 cards, or maybe one of each if your deck has other ways of dealing with the board)
Can you explain this in a scenario against full board of enemy minions with divine shield?
I actually faced an odd-paladin today, and at one point he had a board with 6 x Silver Hand Recruits + 1 x Raid Leader, all with Divine Shields and I managed to clear them all with one Mass Hysteria. I know, it's kinda lucky that none of the minions died before it was their turn to attack, allowing for the full clear, but it's also very unlikely that more than 2 minions would survive.
I run 2 x both in my APM Quest Priest, because against aggro turn 7 is too late and Mass Hysteria is extremely efficient against most early and mid-game boards.
Deck specific. Use both in Clown Priest without a doubt. Control Priest doesn't make such good use of Mass Hysteria because you want to be on the board by turn 4 and keep it. You also get access to Dusk Breaker, which is better.

Actually, shuffling 6 1/1 minions into opponents deck is great!
Mass Hysteria is a superb card in reactive Priest decks like Clone/APM/Mecha'thun Priest but in the control build, which wants to be proactive (and typically runs 2 Dusk Breakers), it makes little sense to include it.

It is, but it's a little hard to do that at turn 5 :D
Of course Psychic Scream is more reliable, but for deck that doesn't run Duskbreaker, it's often hard to survive until turn 7 (or 6 with coin) so Mass Hysteria is just the perfect solution. They are both great cards, and both have their own purposes.

Why not post on priest forum? Yes Mass Hysteria is superior in most scenario, it's been a long time since we had an actual normal cost removal.

Card rarity has nothing to do with power level.
Psychic scream is superior but mass hysteria is extremely strong.

Nevertheless I do like Mass Hysteria.
Currently I'm playing Mecha'thun Priest and Mass Hysteria and Seance are huuuuge additions to that deck.
I prefer Lightbomb.
Although I do run all five (Dragonfire Potion, Excavated Evil, Lightbomb, Psychic Stream and Mass Hysteria) in my Highlander deck.

it's not better!! mass hysteria doesn't clear many boards... it's also random..

They both have their places, and TBH people will probably run both in some decks

Mass Hysteria allows you to develop minions whilst still playing around it, Psychic Scream does not.
