You could add a primordial drake instead of the lich king if you would need more dragon synergy. Also you could add cabal shadow priest. Last idea for 3 drops might be omega medic and/or bronze gatekeeper.
I think the gatekeeper is great if you already have a mech on board, but could work standalone vs agro just fine. The added bonus is that it has magnetic. Omega medic might help you get out of burn range on t10 (which has helped me now and then, but sometimes it's a dead card. Although a 3/4 on 3 is not horrible ofcourse (like amalgam).
Another suggestion would be to change bone drakes for twilight drakes. Nice 4 drop and lowers the curve a bit.
I can see a big benefit for keeping anduin, especially to regain board control with a board of buffes minions. The 5 armor is sometimes also nice to get out of burn range.
So all in all I would probably change copertail imposter for bronze gatekeeper, change bone drakes for twilight drake. If the bronze gatekeeper put in the work than maybe cutting fire fly for omega medic, but that might be a problem vs the rest of the curve and wouldn't help right away.
Please let me know how it goes. If there is a good enough reason to recreate spitefull I'll probably do it :-)
I actually tried 2x Twilight Drakes initially but they were more often 4/4 or 4/5, or simply "let's never play this card because I need Dragon synergy and only have 3 cards in hand." I think Twilight Drake is amazing in a control deck, but pretty suboptimal in a deck looking to simply have a strong curve.
The huge (and obvious) upside of Nightmare Amalgam is the cross tribal synergy. The small downside is Sacrificial Pact seems to be gaining in popularity in Control Warlock as a tech card.
CSP is an awesome idea, I'll give that a try too.
I think the 1-drops are pretty locked in. It's very helpful to have a T1 play (even better if the T1 play is Northshire, because you prevent almost every other opposing followup T1 play that isn't removal, or they play a minion and you simply spend your T2 drawing cards). Firefly is an awesome late game card too because it lets you get multiple pings with Anduin.
Seems logical. Have you considered the cloning gallery as a spell? Although it gives you only a board of 1/1 it might help in survivability (especially zillax and if you could add another taunt it is pretty common to get 2 taunts) and another lich king "treasure" is awesome ofcourse. 9 drops are pretty good overall I think as well.
Let me know how it goes. Just went to r10 with ttk priest (the one with alex and mind blasts) if it keeps performing for you I'll might recraft the spitefulls :-)

That's.... a really interesting idea. I'd want to swap some stuff out for more "at the end of your turn" minions though. Grand Archivist, Ysera, Lich King, for example. Also, how good are the 9-drops in standard?
edit: lol....almost half (6 out of 13) of the 9-drops in standard are dragons. maybe you're on to something.

Yeah there are only a couple of really bad 9 drops I think but lowest stats are 5/5 or 3/7 (hadronox). Yeah after I mentioned cloning galery I was already thinking ysera. But grand archivest and lich king are good ones as well. The cobalt scalebane (when hitting something) would also give you +3 attack on one of them.
Also it's good with deathrattles (although you now only have bone drake).
In my opinion, this deck is at worst high Tier 2 and optimized probably Tier 1.
You are too optimistic.
So, you pasted a small sentence from a big text from someone who is asking for other's opinions, just to say something stupid.
Next time don't bother to reply, please.
So you can't handle someone else's opinion.

It really helps facilitate discussion if you provide a little more than one sentence. Why do you disagree and think this deck isn't good enough? In playing it, it felt quite strong and certainly able to give HealZoo/Egg Hunter a run for their money. It can be fast enough to force combo Druid to abandon its win con, and can win the late game vs Control Warrior. It probably helps that this deck has a major surprise factor as well. IMO any deck that can contend with multiple tier 1 decks needs to be given serious consideration.
Spiteful decks tries to get ahead on board to compensate for the lack of spells. Can your deck do that ? your deck is very draw dependent, you want to draw your mechs early game and dragons and other big minions late game, otherwise you lose the board every single time.
Calling this high tier 2 seems like a bit of stretch to me. High tier 2/ tier 1 decks currently would be Quest Rogue, Odd Rogue, Togwaggle Druid ... . It doesn't seems like this deck can hold against Quest Rogue or Togwaggle Druid, you need a perfect curve and hand to do so. Even Mecha'thun Priest can also win against tier 1 decks but everyone knows how bad that deck is. You win 5 games with it and then lose 10 in a row.

It felt pretty viable against Odd Rogue, Maly Druid, felt even against Heal Zoo and Egg Hunter, easy win against Control Warrior. I didn't face Quest Rogue or Togwaggle Druid.
Beating a single tier 1 deck is easy. Beating (or at worst holding strong) against most tier 1 decks is why I think this has a lot of potential.
The list I posted is clearly top heavy, and certainly has room to be improved. This is just a starting point of discussion. No other deck I tried (note: I did not try to climb with Odd Rogue, Quest Rogue, or Maly Druid) in the last few days had the success this did. This wasn't winning a couple games against one tier 1 deck. It was a (obviously small) string of games from Rank 9 to Rank 5 against varying decks including tier 1 and 2 decks all climbing in the early days of the month.

Well if you try it out let me know how it goes!
Worst 9 drop is Alana dragon caller 3/3 and dragon hatcher follows by master oakheart, ozruk lord jarraxxus and shudderwock. I think 9 drop might be better than 8 at the moment but on 9 you can low roll worse and high roll better(king Krush, ysera) there is 21 9 drops, 5 have taunt 6 is dragons,1 is an mech and 2 is demons.
And now that i think about it, it looks like T5 been pushing 9 cost stuff since you almost never do anything with 1 mana.
I been playing spiteful dragon priest for a couple seasons, it used to be my bread and butter, I want to say I was one of the pioneers who ran/created/optimized this deck back when it first got big.
That being said recently it has it has been having a hard time keeping up in the metas because it is really just to slow and lacks efficient removal. With only minions to activate removal because you can't include any other low cost spells its kinda difficult. I mean the removal is ok if you have plenty of dragons but you have dragons and mechs.
I have been toying around with a few different ideas though but nothing really is sticking. I have tried this with elementals and dragons too which is similar to what you have going.
I've also tried this with odd cards only but its just not powerful enough.
I totally agree that it needs to be optimized because it does "feel" so close to being something really special but no one has quite gotten it yet.
I mean sure you can win games here and there but its probably like a 25% win rate deck.
Coincidentally I have been thinking over the last week that prince kelseth would do really good in this deck for obvious reasons but didnt want to craft him.
So what suggestions would I make? Well this deck already runs alot of big cost cards because of the spells and minions needed to make spiteful work. I would add the second free from amber and remove the lich king.
Everyone is saying how the two tribes is not a good idea. I think its kinda true but thats where this deck runs into problems. Running one other the other is a start. Scaleworm the rush minion 4/4 or 5/4 if dragon in hand is great for removal too. Nightscale The 7 cost generate 3/3 token when creature is healed can be good too but it cost 7 so...
Most the stuff i mentioned has already been mentioned but i just felt the need to post because well I really love this deck and want to it to be top tier again. I dont want to seem pessimistic because i think this deck can for sure work but it just needs to be optimized.
i'm running the priest legendary spell in my deathrattle spiteful priest. It can actually be really good depending what it pulls and it lets me not run free from ambers while still having a bit of security if I draw the two MC's before I can play spiteful. It's also a good pull with Grand Archivist. Even building the deck around the card it isn't easy to have the deck full of things that get value from being a 1/1 token.
I don't think this deck really has synergy with it, as most of the minions are played for battlecry and value, and most would come back as 1/1s. You could build in that direction but you might be spreading your synergy too thin if so.
This deck has 9 dragons, which historically has been plenty. Thanks for your feedback. I suggest giving the deck a try before critiquing.

Alana (3/3) is actually the worst 9 drop. I think the rest is good enough on t7 (together with the 4/4 from spiteful itself)

Decklist updated, rockin' this bad boy at rank 4 right now. I think this version is a lot better than the mech version.
If you're wondering, Benedictus is so you don't lose vs Control Warrior, because that game was going to fatigue quite a bit for me.
edit: It also just let me win vs Togwaggle Druid lol
100% winrate with this deck, solid 4-0, obviously I've cracked the Priest code and broken the meta.
