I don't think I'm alone in thinking that this meta is some kind of a cruel joke and priest is the ill-intentioned punchline.
Let's be fair: the hearthstone meta has always been chaotic, but the consistent power creep with every expansion has lead the game to a point where one class dominates that meta -so much so that while laddering, 3 out of 5 encounters are priests. Not even good priests, mind you. Mediocre players running tier 1 decks, making it virtually impossible to ladder through even the mid tier ranks without investing a lot of time and being very lucky.
It is for this reason I have decided that I am boycotting the class. Not only do I refuse to play as a priest - razakus is a cheap cheating deck and so is big priest - but I refuse to play against priests on the ladder. Here is why:
1. Even losing games against priest are very long and the chances if winning are slim, even if the other player is terrible. Playing against a priest is a waste of time.
2. The ladder system is built to be intentionally frustrating. In this meta it is insanely difficult to ladder anyway. By conceding to all priests by default I limit my frustration and yield a greater number of enjoyable games. I won't get past rank 15 anyway so I may as well enjoy it there.
3. I will reduce my mmr so that I only get matched against people who are not playing decks that automatically win against everyone who is not playing priest.
I also urge other players to do the same for the following reasons:
1. Priest is in dire need of a nerf and there is no sign of any such nerf coming. If players are straight up refusing to play against priest Blizzard may consider not letting the class run roughshod over the meta.
2. This will push priest players into a higher mmr and up the ladder. Let them fight each other until the bad players who play tier 1 decks get frustrated with losing to good players and either quit the game or play a different class.
3. You're tired of losing to priest too.
Disclaimer: this is a salty post written by a frustrated player who is tired of a ridiculous meta and Blizzard's approach to balance, which is generally to always have one "God Tier" class thus always causing an unbalanced, stale and boring meta. Take it with many grains of salt.
Were you boicoting Warrior during the Pirate Warrior meta's day (MSoG)? Or Midrange Shaman? You may not like the actual meta, but the cycle of some Classes be more dominant than others is just natural in HS.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
If your goal is to push Priest to a false winrate by getting a large number of players to automatically concede, in hopes that Blizzard nerfs the entire class because the winrate is too high, that's not really how Blizzard goes about nerfing. For one, they don't nerf an entire class; they nerf specific problem cards. For two, they don't nerf because a class has a high winrate over a small sample; they nerf because specific cards are deemed too strong, given the data available.
If you want to talk about the potential for Priest nerfs, you need to address specific cards and why you think they're a good target for a nerf.

It's not just natural in Hearthstone... it's universal to all CCGs and basically all competitive gaming in general. Perfect balance is impossible, so this always happens to one extent or another. A lot of people act like this is a problem specifically with how Hearthstone is run, but it's actually a universal problem, and one without a perfect solution. Perfect game balance is impossible unless every character/deck is exactly the same.
The only way to mitigate it is to make frequent and/or careful adjustments. That's the only argument you can make against Hearthstone specifically, but it's also not so cut and dried what cards are causing the problem as a lot of the critics want to pretend it is.
2. The ladder system is built to be intentionally frustrating.
By having you lose stars upon dying?
Yes. It's a bad system. In a game where chance and chaos are major factors in the outcome of any given matchup, success or failure is not always determined by the actions of either player, a binary win/loss rating system is meaningless and artificial.
Puzzle Fighter has a much better ranking system that makes a lot more sense.

Hearthstone: A game where great victories are won by demonstrating exceptional skill, and losses are suffered due to bad RNG!
Stupid post we have Paladin, Warlock, Priest meta and each have two different archetypes totally 6 archetype dominates the ladder which means there will be always a meta shift at the begining of the month so it is a healthy meta and Highlander Priest is not a real problem.
And priest decks have atleast 5 legendary in their deck how the fuk it is cheap
"Kazaku, Raza, Velen, Anduin, Thalnos, Lyra" for Razakus that means only legendary minions cost around 8k dust and atleast 3 legendary for big
First, there is a thread of salty posts, which obvious is where this should be in my opinion.
Second, I've been conceding to Priest for well over a year now, since I stopped playing competitively, but it is not because Priest is a powerful class, it's only because the Steal/Copy mechanics frustrates me to no end. As such, I refuse to play against the class and it has improved my enjoyment of the game since then. It is likely to be the same for you. (Even if I personally don't think the reasoning in your case is the best, you simply don't want to deal with a hard class to beat, when there are decks out there which easily counter it, but to each their own)
Third, I don't understand why you created this thread. When I made my decision to not play against Priests, I did it and I know I'm correct in my stance, but I don't need others to join me to feel validated, nor do I actually believe I will get people to do the same that I want to force Blizzard to change things in the game. This is the kind of decision that you are in your right to do on your own, but don't need to try to force others to do. If they feel the same way you do, they will do it themselves aswell. It's just like those threads that pop up about boycotting sales and so on. Anyone is perfectly allowed to boycott whatever they want on their own, but do you really need others to join your cause to feel validated? Are you afraid of missing out if only you do it and the others don't join in? I am actually curious to understand the logic here.
1. To vent
2. As a joke which, as I suspected, is being taken much more seriously than intended.

neither of those were ever as dominant as priest is right now.

Even well-run tournaments in highly chance-oriented games are still run according to binary win/loss, it's just got more to it. Correctly run card game tournaments (for things like poker) ask competitors to basically all play against everyone else (or play many games against the same person; even Chess does this and it's not a chance-based game at all). Later on, victors or rankings are determined by who has the most wins/losses. But those are still predicated upon who wins and losses, they just have a bigger pool to draw from.
If you're unsatisfied with your statistics in Ranked enough to claim it's a bad system... play more Ranked and increase your game pool.

This is just a bullshit statement.
Do you know this for sure -- I.E., have you looked at statistics? -- because there are a lot of people on this forum that seem to know which decks are dominant and exactly how much, but for the past many sets Pirate Warrior for example has not actually had a high winrate. I have no idea what its winrate was back during Mean Streets. Maybe you do?
I don't think Razakus or Big Priest are really dominating to the popularity-accepted degree either, incidentally.
I don't think I'm alone in thinking that this meta is some kind of a cruel joke and priest is the ill-intentioned punchline.

Priests have been conceding since classic. They've earned this.
Look at the winrates. Priest is nowhere near the top. Aggro Paladin is far stronger.
Next year we'll boycott Warlocks ! Then Druids ! Then Mages ! Then Warriors ! Then Rogues !
- Determined to concede against all Priests
- Complains that Priest automatically wins the game
Thanks! Legend, here I come!
