The thing is that both of the Priest decks are just dumb. Big Priest and Razakus Priest are by far the least interactive decks out there. One deck you basically hard mulligan for Barnes, or stall until turn 6, which against any deck but hard aggro is basically a win. And Razakus Priest is nearly the same, hope for Raza and stall for Velen/Anduin. Dragon Priest seems to be a fair deck in that you have some variance and some interactive play involving the operative and dusk breaker. It's going to be a long few months of cursing at Raza and Barnes if Blizzard doesn't somehow shake these up.
The OP is right in that as many games as I've played on ladder, I absolutely hate playing against big priest. And if you don't concede then the game just becomes frustrating. How is it that a deck like that can get wins on turn 6? And for those who don't concede and play out the matches, how many of those games did you win? Maybe 1 in your lifetime. I like swing turns, and combo decks. But I don't like decks that rely on drawing 1 Legendary card early for an easy win. If that's the meta then I'll go back to playing Huntard and worry about Tar Creepers, and still lose to Big Priest. Lol.
Were you boicoting Warrior during the Pirate Warrior meta's day (MSoG)? Or Midrange Shaman? You may not like the actual meta, but the cycle of some Classes be more dominant than others is just natural in HS.
You boycott pirate warrior by roping every. single. turn.

Look at this thing and let me know what you think!
I won't get past rank 15 anyway so I may as well enjoy it there.
That very small sentence explains your whole argument in a very simple way: you're a bad player who also happens to be a salty 12 years old child, you're crying because there's too many priest apparently and they are this huge impossible monster to win against while also being stupid easy to play to the point where a blind donkey with no legs could reach legend with it.. yeah, I feel all your salt has blinded you, you can't go past rank 15 lool I think you have a bunch of other issues other than priests. Finally I encourage you to play a priest deck like Highlander for example for lets say 100 games or so and then say it's an easy deck, you can't evaluate a deck for how it works when you and your opponent draw the absolute nuts from the start, that only happens in a few games, the games when your Raza or Anduin are on the bottom 5 or 3 cards (either of them or both) are where you can actually draw the line between awful netdeckers that can't even copy the deck right and actual good skilled players, which you clearly are not, I just love rank 15 players rants about how unfair and unbalanced the game is lol.

And telling someone he should try to be a grown up isn't name calling?
I don't think this will solve anything. I for one have just stopped playing Ladder. I've only played Dungeon Run since release. I get to rank 20 and I'm done. I only rarely ever go on Ladder to play my Big Mage deck.
I'm pretty much done with the game now I think. I played some ladder last night and it's just all extreme meme decks. The game is a parody of what it used to be. I mean it was always about being over the top and all about building crazy decks but now it's just gone to such an extreme degree that it feels like every game is just a race to that big combo.

neither of those were ever as dominant as priest is right now.
LOL, just LOL
You either only started playing 3-4 months ago or you are trolling....
I've been playing since GvG. Never in that time have I queued into as many priests as I do now. I always hated playing against priests because they just have so much removal, but these two main priest decks are just exploitative.
Some people brought up aggro shaman, I do remember that being a pretty dominant deck but I feel like priest right now is worse.

You beat pirate warrior by playing any taunt minion.

I'll answer the same thing I alway answer in such a thread : if you only meet one class (what I can't believe it's true), just tech against them!
When the meta was 60% aggro shaman a year ago, I just started to play Reno mage (which was really fun) and reached legend with an high winrate 😉
I think priest is far from a problem lately. I have more than 65%wr against them over the last 2 months...
But yeah, of course, if you just wanna play for fun and not competitively at all with a tier 4 deck, don't complain about loosing to tier 1-2...
You can't tech against a deck that is an unfavorable matchup no matter what. The only way to beat priest is to take that 1 in 30 chance of dirty ratting his raza. The only way to beat big priest is to win before turn 3.

I figured someone would make that comment. It's only recently that I stopped trying on the ladder. I've been playing since GvG and usually I finish the season around rank 7 or 8, which I think is ok given that I only play like 3-5 hours per week. I got to rank 5 once but it took a lot of time and I really don't have the time to commit to try and reach legend. That rank 5 season I think I was playing about 2-3 hours per day.
Am I a bad player? I don't think so. I think I'm ok. Maybe even good. Definitely not great. I play hearthstone casually and it gets frustrating when even the lower ranks are dominated by tier 1 decks. Of course, that means the people playing them don't really know how to play them.
So I'm trying to play control warrior or n'zoth warrior, and I'm up against all these tier 1 decks. I know how to play the deck reasonably well I think, but these priest players just play on curve and win by default. It's annoying. It sucks when you watch someone make a bad play every turn and they still win. It's more annoying when that's happening frequently.
I played a few games last night and the new decks I ran into were just ridiculous. It's not even about learning how to play a deck anymore. It's just about building the craziest deck possible. I could build one of those decks, but I don't really enjoy playing like that. I want to play games that require some decision making. I don't mind losing a game if I can retrace my steps and see where I made my bad play. Those are the games where you learn. If I can say "I should have saved fishes" or "I should have put down a taunt minon there" then I lost fair and square and I'm comfortable with that.
When it feels like the majority of games are decided before I even have the opportunity to make a bad play, that's really frustrating.
There's no skill involved in dropping Barnes on turn 4 and getting infinite Y'shaarjes. I know when I'm playing against a priest to mulligan for a ping and an execute, but if I don't have those in my hand I've lost before I had the chance to try to win. That's not balance, that's a deck that has an unfair advantage against other decks by getting a minion that no other class can remove on the board early in the game. This is the equivalent of a baseball game where one team starts with the bases loaded every inning for the first three innings. It's unreasonable to expect anyone to have a chance at winning that game.
This is kind of turning into a rant, but yes, a game is unbalanced if a particular class has an unfair advantage over every other class in the game and in this case priest has two deck configurations that have such an advantage.

I've said it before, but no one seems to listen, so I'll say it again: priest is not dominant. It's not even on top. At the moment, it's the third strongest class. Stop getting your panties in a wad over imaginary problems.
The responses to this thread are pretty funny - everyone is SO SERIOUS!!!
I'm pretty sure the OP is aware that you can actually beat a priest with stuff, and he acknowledges that everything he wrote is due to excess "salt". Can you all just relax a little and stop trying so hard to prove that these terrible priest decks are just fine? They suck! We all know they're awful in that special way that only Hearthstone can create - no one really gives a crap if you netdecked a different awful deck to beat it. I myself tend to concede on Mages all the time because I just hate everything they do - CoinArcanologist just about makes me vomit.
And to those who get all angry and start telling people they're lousy because they don't grind out legend every month? Get a life, guys.
