Hello guys what do you think which is better for different situations explain it for new comers so they can decide.
1. Most of the time you cannot play Lyria on curve but you can play Elise on curve also Elise will not sit on your hand for a long time
2. Lyria gives more specific and cheaper cards compared to elise when you need removals etc
3. When you play Elise you don't get direct results but you prepare for late game depending on situation
4. Elise can provide more definitive cards for late game from Un'goro set also it will atleast generate 5 cards or more for you
5. compared to Lyria if you run Elise you don't need radiant elemental so that spot will be open for more option
6. Elise is a neutral card.
So both cards have cons and pros but it is especially important where you are going to use them
1. classic Highlander with Velen- Lyria, in this deck Lyria is better because you will have more one drop and cheap spells to use with also you don't require minions on the board to provide additional support.
2. Highlander with N'zoth- in this type of deck you don't really require Lyria because it will generate way less cards because you trade spells with minions for the deck but Elise will generate atleast 5 cards that also provides board pressure also you can use another card instead of radiant elemental.
3. Highlander with Hemet- I think in this deck running Elise is very dangerous since you can destroy the pack in the deck.
Seeing as currently the Velen version seems to be better, if I were to craft only one of those cards (I thankfully have both), I'd go with Lyra. With that said, Elise is an easy fit in pretty much any control deck, so it's not like crafting her is wasting dust.
In my experience the biggest advantage to Elise is being able to play on curve or without any other conditions. The pack is just a bonus and rarely gets drawn, and when it does, you often can't play it because too many cards in hand. So I recently cut Elise for Velen.
Lyra is always a threat when you drop it and can be played on curve for pressure if you're not in a value match up.
Lyra is more of a threat to your opponent than Elise. Worst case scenario, she is soft taunt and will force your opponent to make bad/early trades. If she goes unanswered then it's potentially game winning. If you have your full combo (Raza/Anduin) in play you can chain Lyra with a radiant elemental and potentially do huge amounts of damage in one turn. Elise is great when you are in fatigue and need a guaranteed hand refill, but her usefulness is fringe definitely. Elise is a great craft still because she fits into many other decks. She definitely shines in other styles of priest, but in Razakus she is by no means a 'must include'. Just my 0.02¢
Ive tried both. Stayed with Elise. It helps in the long matchups and the pack creates a boost on your hero power. I run a draw-heavy highlander and I even try to copt the pack when I can to run it twice. Lots of value.
I personally play both. But If I had to choose only one, I would go for Lyra the Sunshard. She can be pretty solid ammo for your machinegun in lategame. Elise the Trailblazer provides really good value in lategame but A) It can be useless and even a downside when you need to draw some boardclear and you draw the Pack instead and B) Highlander Priest has so much value that Elise the Trailblazer with the Pack is too much to play, so the Pack will just sit in your hand and you can't play it, because you have almost always more than 7 cards in your hand.
Actually it is not true if you have Lyria you will often held cheap spells at your hand to get value but if you only have Elise you will spend them so your hand will always space for Elise pack.
Also people just uses Elise pack to get maximum number of cards but you shouldn't do that play it when you need some extra cards maybe 3 or 2 don't focus on getting value to much or you will end up not using Elise pack and always be sure you have enough mana to play some cards after elise pack.
Also top decking is tricky you cannot be sure if elise is the prevent you from top decking board clear today I was playing against token shaman and I end up not drawing any board clear until last 7 cards and I wasn't running Elise my deck.
Today I tried N'zoth package against another Highlander priest with Velen during the game he opened 3 Elise pack he got it from my pack with root I lost the game because he curved Raza while mine was second card at the bottom. By the way today I also discovered Lyra in the pack. that was really fun but Elise definetely suits N'zoth more than Lyra.

Lyra for sure, Elise isn't even used in all versions of Highlander.

lyra, no doubt - priest spells can always give an important impact to the game
Definitely Lyra. In the lists I use, the pack is often unopenable due to hand size issues
