Archbishop Benedictus has been sited as being great for memeing, potential Priest control mirror matches, and as a hypothetical tech card for (heretofore extremely rare) cases when a match goes to fatigue.
The idea of going to fatigue seems a little crazy in most match-ups, but Priest does have a lot of draw power, and the recently revealed Death Knight cards - specifically Doom Pact and Army of the Dead* - have the potential to aggressively accelerate your deck to fatigue. In light of the power level of those cards and the draw capabilities Priest already has, do people think we might actually see Archbishop Benedictus teched into control Priest decks?
*Edit: At the time of posting, the Army of the Dead link seems to reference the crazy Lich King card - I'm referring to the 6 mana spell that removes the top 5 cards from your deck and summons any minions from that set.
Don't think the Archbishop will be playable or consistent in Standard. Could be in Wild though. Better taunts, could be usable in a Quest deck or a Dragon deck possibly. Wouldn't run it in a Highlander deck though but who knows. Never good to pollute your deck with possible dupes if running Raza, Kazakus, Reno in that type of deck. Could make a highlander deck without those I suppose running Quest, archbishop, value control.
When I saw the thread title I was trying to envision how Benedictus copied your Death Knight cards but I do see now what you meant that it has synergy with those two in particular. As far as duplicating Death Knight cards goes, you would need Dead Man's Hand or Valeera the Hollow, which is what I originally thought you were referring to.
