Further to the point I've seen several players be successful with priest bot quest and non quest. I'm debating on trying a Reno style deck with priest since they are the only ones with a Reno effect now. Priest lost sylvanas (which is I assume the card you are mostly referring to) it's true but there are still some decent deathrattles that they can use. Coupled with the fact that they have a board wipe that's useful against most aggressive decks including quest rogue.
I think you might be thinking of priest a bit too one dimensionally.
yes, priest did have a tier 1 deck in the pat it was Dragon priest in Gadgetzan and COntrol priest in beta when Mind Control costed 8 mana, and Purify priest is super viable now thanks to shadow visions and humongous razorleaf.

There is no cancer deck in hearthstone ! You are the Cancer !
It has less to do with the quest being unplayable and more to do with the quest reward. The reward is not a vehicle to victory after achieving it like the others. Druid can be lumped into this as well because they still have to draw their win condition after completing the quest. I find it odd they didn't realize this in even limited testing.
Agreed, but someone like to have a fun while playing. And priest dont have anything new like other classes.. Dragons was once played just came back cause of operative and now again deathretles when there was once again nzoth meta.. and your reward is a little buffed reno.. but the mechanis are the same .. when i look on other classes there are soooo many new things u can play and still be tier 1 deck
All the other classes got new things? Like the zoo hunter which drops low cost minions to control the board? Or the handlock? Maybe you refer to the control warrior? Oh my mistake. You must mean the freeze mage. No?
the other classes got new cards but are essentially just working the same as before.
maybe the most unique one is quest rogue.
Quest warrior is just a new take on control warrior with using its minions more than spells to control the board and using the rag hero power to finish it off.
Quest mage is just freeze mage holding the opponent off till they can pull their kill shot.
Hunter? Well what is quest hunter other than the old face hunter with a bonus option of a big turn 5 minion that comes with a board flood potential option?
Handlock has been around since the classic days so that's not new.
im not complaining cause I think this meta is way better than pirate warrior and mid shaman. Every class feels viable with maybe warlock being a bit lack luster by comparison but no less playable.
But don't make priest seem like they are getting crapped on while all the other classes have all these new decks. It's the same old package in pretty new wrapping. It looks new but at its core it's the same.
Quest Priest is unplayable right now. When the meta settles, and a certain few decks are established as being dominant or more prevalent than others, then a statement as ludicrous as this is more applicable. Say Midrange Hunter became the best deck in the game, which at this point, it arguably is. A value Priest that had a massive burst heal would fare decently well against it.
It's also of consideration that half of the quests released in this expansion just aren't that strong. Druid, Paladin, even Hunter to some extent- all of these classes have seen little to no play with regards specifically for the quest.
N'Zoth Quest Priest has done well enough for me, but have not played it a significant amount. Games last quite long in many cases though. Have had more success with it than Quest Hunter. Some success with Quest Warlock. Have not tried the others as more dust is needed.
Removing invaluable deathrattle minions to standard. Why nerf quest priest in this way? Its not only quest priest, all priest now totally suck.
Has priest ever had a tier 1 deck? No, its very sad.
If a deck has good synergy with Wild cards, I'm sure I don't need to tell you that playing that deck in Wild is an option.
Make the Card: The biggest thread on the site!
My mandibles which are capable of pressing down and tearing, my talons which are known to intercept and hold.
Dragon priest was tier 1 just a couple of weeks ago.

You obviously haven't played with Majordomo Executus i can almost consistently get the 40 health rag, and then win the game.
Golden legendary cards opened: Ragnaros the Firelord, Auctionmaster Beardo, Kalimos, Primal Lord

priest is pretty bad in standard, guess it is very good in wild though
can i see that deck?;3
Reno-style (no duplicates) dragon quest priest is working for me. You can try that.
I have deathwing for the taunt warrior match up as a back up plan.
