With the release of karazhan I thought of some crazy possibility that a tempo based briest deck might become valuable. All of your feedback is greatly apprecieated as I will strive to make this deck a success!
Excavated Evil is staple in control-ish? lists, like this one.
I say you need a definitive win condition. What's your game plan? How do you will win? You have control-ish cards like Flash Heal and Darkshire Alchemist but try to pressure with a non-smooth curve like this. You could extract more from your cards with a control defined strategy, or with cards like Embrace the Shadow. Power Word: Tentacles does nothing, really. It's insane to play this meta with only 1 SW:Death and 1 SW:Pain.
I find it interesting, but the lack of game plan - which is a real issue in priest - tells me that you won't go far.
Just changed the deck Took out an excavated Evil and put in Sylv. I Think Arcane Giant would fit in the deck. I might take out the other Ecavated Evik.
With the huge-cost minions you have, I would refine it to include Resurrect too, or at least use resurrect until onyx bishop is released. And btw as said before, that's not a tempo deck, in the best case it's a mid-range deck.
Reasons for this is: If you are a tempo deck, why do you use flash heals or AoEs? You should set the tempo, not the opponent.
Ressurect just doesnt do much for Tempo in the early stages of the game. You'd never use Resurrect until at least turn 4-5 and then you spend the rest of your mana doing nothing. That being said I should take out the flash heals and AOE's to make it a more tempo based decked.
I tried a Token Tempo Priest variant which could get convincing wins at times! Don't get your hopes too high though :P
I ran Imp Masters (they were so important in that deck), Knife Jugglers, Bilefins, Shadow Madnesses and in fact used cards like Mukla's Champion to power the Token up. As I said, the deck was able to snowball quickly, but it actually was pretty bad against Aggro. You always managed to clear the Aggro player's board, but at that point you had no heal except Alexstrasza (I ran Deathwing, Alexstrasza and Leeroy as win conditions next to Mukla), which resulted in frustating close losses. Interestingly, Midrange was actually a good matchup and also against Control I fared solid enough. I still play it at times, but it is not updated (yet)...

Cards I'm thinking about adding:
Arcane Giant
Sylvanas Windrunner
I'd say replace one Excavated Evil w/ Sylvanas. I just think that Sylvanas will add the extra pressure to ur opponent.
hihihihihhi

Sylvanas is staple.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Corvus oculum corvi non eruit.
How can I take this deck seriously if no Purify? :D
But I'd start cutting those Excavated Evil. Doesn't seem like a tempo card at all.

Switch Priest with Mage.
NA golden heroes: Hunter, and Rogue! Let's try for Paladin next!

Updated the deck to add 2x Arcane Anomaly and an Arcane Giant. JW what do you think of moat lurker?
Also Loot Hoarder or Wild Pyro. Hoarder might be good because of limited card draw but pyro is obviously a much stronger card in this deck.
