I based my priest deck off of this, to start off with I was missing a lot of cards, but crafted some and run a slightly varied version of this deck. It has worked out extremely well for me so cheers for sharing this!
Haven't made it into masters yet, but of the priests decks I've tried to build, this one is easily the most competently aggressive, and 'feels' very priest-y, with all the sturdy minions and endurance.
I do not possess a Velen yet, but I will be making that a priority, because I feel it's kinda of mandatory to really make Holy Nova perform as it should.
Questions:
Is the Gurubashi Berserker an ill-fit for this deck? I feel like his ramp capacity is pretty good, especially considering this deck runs PW:S, but I'm not really sure what I would swap out, or if I would have to cut more than one set of minions to really make him work.
With the lack of Taunt creatures, would Sunfury Protector or Defender of Argus stand to make an interesting role in this deck if positioning was abused? Primarily thinking about the Twilight Drakes, that when properly played come out with an abundance of HP and make great sponges for damage.
Hi there, I'm new to the game, and have tryed buidling this deck, all though I have around 5-6 cards missing, I simply add Divine spirit, Inner fire, Gurubashi Beserker and it does fine.
I havn't done any "ranked" games, but I have to ask the question, why wouldnt you add in divine spirit/inner fire or crazed alchemist combos? It is an extremly nice combo to have no?
Also with ur deck what do u do when you draw 2-3s shadow words in a row? Close to game over dont you think? In the 2-3 turns the oppenent can easily build the board control that it's very difficult to overcome, cause everything you counter, your always playing a catch up game no?
The combo is pretty gimmicky and you have to draw the right cards. I just can never get it to work.
That kind of thing can happen to this deck. A lot of the times you get dead cards early on and you get behind cause of that.

Not sure about the berserker. I tried him and he didn't work out much in the deck. He's too slow in my experience.
I was thinking of adding in the defender of argus, but I don't know what to replace.

I got some very lucky pulls after about 30~ arenas so far. I got a Velen and a foil Sylvanas that I DE'd for 1600 dust so I can make another legendary. Thinking about making a priest deck around this one with those cards. I think Gruul or Hogger would be very good additions but also think Ysera would be nice. Too hard to pick :<
hello, i see there is few spell card in your deck, but there aree two Azure Drake, just for draw a card?
and , only one silenc card, is there enough?
The azure drakes are there for the value they give. A 4/4 is hard to deal with and it usually results in your opponent using a card to kill it. Thereby helping you gain card advantage.
I think one silence is enough, sometimes I don't even need it.

I think any more high costing cards in this deck wouldn't work out, there is a lot already and it wouldn't be fun to draw them at all the start of the game.
First Off, Thanks for the deck i've had good success with it.
I have modified it to run only 1 Acidic ooze, 1 shadow word: Death, and use Two Abominations and instead of Velen, Im using Barron Geddon. I also fit a Ysera in it. I just couldnt get the benefit out of Velen. Just seemed without the extra AoE, by the time I was getting out Velen, I was so far behind the extra healing didnt really benefit me as much as Id like.
Its certainly a late game deck, but with the 2 abombs, two holy novas, and a geddon I have a crap ton of AoE to deal with rushes and if I get behind with board presence, and that happens frequently, I can normally get myself back on top and win.
Rush/burn decks are the weakness of the deck. The only thing you could do to try and counter them would be to change some minions and drop some higher drops, but then you would hinder yourself against the other classes. Holy Fire is nice against rush decks too. Chances are that the heal will actually help out. That is about all I can think of.
I just wanted to say that this deck will be getting changed with the MC nerf. I'm currently evaluating my options, but I think I'm going to put more early game in and trade out something for 2 defenders of argus (most likely the sen'jin).
I run a very similar Priest deck in 3 star Masters, but I removed one SW:D and 1 MC (due to the nerf, I'm getting used to playing only one) for 2 Shadow Madness. Amazing card, almost always give you a 2 for 1.
Oh, I also use 2 Dark Iron Dwarf, for added aggression and for fixing atk values on opponent's minions, so they can be targeted by SW:D.
I see you've taken out Velen, any reason in particular?
I've been using this deck for a bit, 3 star diamond, just havn't played enough games yet to get higher rank. I've changed my deck to include Mind Control Tech its basically 3 cards for the price of 1 when you play it right: Itself, gaining a random, and opponent losing a random. Only have 1 in my deck tho, can't really justify carrying more.

I took him out because I just felt that he didn't really help the deck with the MC nerf. One could argue that I would need more end game because of the MC nerf, but I feel that I would need more early game presence to deal with the pre-MC turns. If you want to keep him in the deck, then that's fine. The only thing I'd really suggest would be to switch the defenders of argus in the deck.
TEHSTOOL! love this build so much. i had to modify 2 cards because i didnt have duplicates and i made it to diamond!!! hoping to keep going strong and hit masters!! much love

No I did not. I posted my deck on October 28th, and the deck was made way before then. It just uses really good cards that are common among a lot of decks.

That's why my build has defender of argus and sunfury protector.
Then again, who doesn't have any trouble against warlock murlocks?
Deck list has been updated for the MC nerf.

Did you base this off Kripp's deck?
