the meta of priest is purely control with that kind of hero power which dont have lack of power at early game same like warrior, and no good early minion same like rogue. i know if priest given some tempo at early game like buff the light well from 0/5 to 1/4 will make priest so strong. So lets just stick to control kind deck atm.
To recover priest really need a card to comeback from early game. I am not talking some AOE bullshit. maybe a solid strong minion at turn 4~6 like water elemental on mage or that savanah highmane on hunter. not some minion that can steal really early game minion with 2 attack but cost freakin 6 mana with 4 mana stat. or what about a BIG HEAL. priest is a healer, but dont have game changer heal. I know some heal could broke the meta because auchenai card. but really, 5 mana heal 12 hp spell is kind of enough i say to prolong the game further and not broke the meta. Some card that can damage minion only for priest class is a good idea. and his silent could have a play too. but like i said at first, dont make it an early minion. maybe 4 mana 4/6 would be good. And lastly, buff shadowform to 2 mana would be nice i think.
Well, many people ask for a new lightbomb. But in fact, if you get some early board presence, you may not need a huge nuke like lightbomb, at all.
So if the problem is to gain board control, let's give priest some Boar Control. Kappa.
There it is, a kind of Totem Golem for priest. It still prevents you from playing 1-cost minions, and if you play it late game, you need to choose the placement ok, or be prepared to heal your own minions, etc.
Maybe it is a bit OP, but maybe all it needs to be balanced is that priest doesn't get a 7/7 for 4 mana :D
They need a bomb 5 or 6 drop thats basically as strong as highmane.
Maybe battlecry: deal damage to your opponents minions based on how many times you have healed during the game. Like its gotta be a bit tempo swing card.
I've read through the suggestions and I fear that most of them may be subject to the shielded minibot syndrome. In that just giving priest overstattet minions in the early game is a bad patchwork.
I think that the biggest problem with priest is that it's not possible to use health as an advantage similar as to what warrior can with weapons.
So cards and hero power which restore health become somewhat unimportant.
how about introducing cards which have battlecries which trigger when your hero is at full health.
Like a 2 mana 2/3 deal 2 damage if your hero is at full health and a 3 mana 3/3 deal 2 damage if your hero is at full health.
This could bring flavor to the early game of priest while it could also be countered.

Blizzard kind of backed us into a corner with Priest. The problem with priest is almost all of it. 'Bad patchwork' is all we can really do here. I think your suggestion also falls into that category.
The only two ways for priest to have reliable use of the hero power early is a sticky minion (typically overstated health or stealthed), or to change the way the hero power works.
The cards you suggest are interesting, but will be either overpowered or unreliable depending on which way you lean when designing them. They run the danger of you'll want to use them most against aggro, but that's when they're least likely to work. Priest doesn't need more inconsistent/conditional cards. They need solid efficient cards that just work.
There is a general problem with priest, and that's the new standard-format fault. Blizzard sadly only looked at the $$$ and not for the balance. Priest was in vanilla simply said the worst class. Priest then almost sucked as much as they suck now (althrough it's now even worse). The problem is: the basic-set for priest is simply SH*T. Priest have the weakest basic and expert-set and as long as this doesn't change, priest will stay the weakest class from all.
Priest fixed priest after vanilla with Naxx, because they added minions that reacts positively to our heals. Zombie Chow, Deathlord, Dark Cultist and Sludge Belcher were a huge help for us, because our heal could interact with it.
But with the new standard format it's like you cut out the working engine that were inserted with Naxx with the original one that was broken. Priest can't be fixed except blizzard quit thinking for more $$$ and more about the game balance. And Priest can only be fixed if they add some cards that helped Priest in naxx and gvg to their basic set.
If Blizzard added Dark Cultist and Velen's Chosen to the expert-set and make this cards staple in standard, this could help priest a lot. Lightbomb would also help a lot, since Priest really lacks an effective boardclear (no, 2 cards for an 4 damage aoe with a 3/1 is not effective). But instead Priest get Power Word: Tentacles and Shadow Word: Horror. Because Priest were so strong before WoG *sigh*
priest has enough boardclears beside their entombs, shadowowrds etc. blizzard has to be careful with priests in general. if they make 2 or three powerful priest cards they will get op right away.
Dragon Priest was never a really good deck. It has no comebacks. It relied on having a good start to crush superaggro decks, but it was completely unable to hold the pace of a midrange/tempo deck, not to say a control deck.
And you, saying that Dragon priest is a pretty strong deck right now, want us to believe that priest has enough AoE because you say so, with the expertise shown above.
Sorry but no. Either you give priest a good early game or you give him a good AoE (in standard it has not). Have fun with your dragon priest, if you find fun in conceding, sure.

also dragon priest is pretty strong too.
Looks like Blizz is only careful and very defensive developing cards for Priest. Why dont they be like that with other classes?
Priest had decent time in the past 2 years, spending time in mostly Tier-2, or upper Tier-3. It never replaced the Shaman-Tier (Tier-4) until Standard. The class is in the trash-tier pit right now.
Has Priest ever been an OP class? Never it had been in the same top tier spot like how big the peak of Zoolock, Secret Paladins, Mech Mage, Combo Druid, Miracle/Oil Rogue, Patron Warrior, Face Hunter, and Aggro Shaman had been.
I just realized that Blizzard really missed their change to help Priest when they designed the card Renounce Darkness. It should have been a Priest card (Renounce Lightness?) since that would allow Priest to swap cards with a more capable class.
Sigh.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
I'm afraid, upcoming "Majestic, Marvelous, Magical" adventure mostly will buff Mage with all his spell related stuff. And Priest will go on searching its "Undiscovered Premium deck". What do you think?
I don't expect the Shaman treatment for Priest in this adventure. With all that Priest uproar, they might rebalance this adventure Priest cards on the strong side though.
Still, more stuff is good. Meta might shift. And available Priest decks might do better in it.

"Infinite" doen't mean "big" - it can be small and have no end.
I would make some cheap spells to play aside with wild pyromancer, which was a good card, providing aoe and board presence with shield and velen's choosen.
Pyromancer + equality is one of the strongest aoe effect, I think they could work on a similar patch.
bbrode said once, that some cards from wild can thoeretically be returned into standart, so for priest to come back we just need Lightbomb, and it will be enough

Greatness, at any cost.
Tunnel Trogg and Mana Wyrm are the quintessential early board presence minions. Giving priest one would solve so many problems.

only if you're running dragons.
