Hello fellow Priest players. This is simply my own opinion on Museum Curator’s choices in the current meta. Admittedly, I hit Rank 5 last season playing mostly Midrange Hunter, but had consistent success at Rank 5 with N’Zoth Priest after that. I plan to play Priest exclusively this month, as it’s the class I have the most experience with and enjoy the most. That said, this is probably common knowledge if you have experience with MC, but could be useful for new players and open up discussion.
Tier 1 – Always pick
Shifting Shade – Easily my favorite card from WoG. Reasonable body, draws you a card, synergy with N’Zoth, and is a 4-drop besides Auchenai. Because of the way discover works, you have a 1/6 chance to get one, 4x as likely as neutrals. Always pick, unless you already have 4-drops in hand or if Sylvanas is clearly better in the situation.
Sylvanas Windrunner – Not much to say, Sylvanas is really strong in this meta. Always pick unless you’re offered a Shade and/or some situational card is clearly better.
Cairne Bloodhoof – At the bottom of the Tier 1 list, but still quite strong. Always pick unless you’re offered one of the above, and/or a Tier 2 card is more appropriate.
Tier 2 – Probably should pick
Polluted Hoarder – 4-drop with card draw. Pretty good, good synergy with N’Zoth, and 4 attack can be quite good.
Loot Hoarder – pick if you just need cheap card draw. Super easy to remove by the time you play it. I would choose this over Polluted Hoarder if I already had 4-drops in hand and wasn’t offered something better.
Tier 3 – Situationally pretty good, consider picking over a T1 or T2 in the right spot
Deathwing, Dragonlord – solid in much slower games, but I usually pick something else. Never pick vs fast decks.
Chillmaw – Can be a great pick if you’re on turn 5 or 6, or already have a solid plan for turns 3 thru 6. Great synergy with N’Zoth, very good vs aggro. Consider picking over T1 or T2 if you need a taunt and don’t have removal.
Abomination – I actually really love this card vs aggro. I would definitely pick this over Sylvanas or Shade against something like Zoo or Aggro/Totem Shaman. Cheap AOE with a taunt.
Infested Tauren – Choose if vs aggro and aren’t offered a better taunt, AND if you actually need a taunt. I won’t pick this over a Shade for example if my opponent (who is playing aggro) doesn’t have a board and I have AOE in hand.
Harvest Golem – Solid card but you’re usually offered better.
Tier 4 – All of these are “can be okay but you’re usually offered better.”
Anyways, I’d love to hear your thoughts. tl;dr Generally, pick T1 > T2 > T3 > T4 > T5, and consider T2/T3 > T1/T2 in certain situations. You will be offered Shifting Shade 4 times as often as any other card, and good thing it's a top pick.
I included one Azure Drake into my Nzoth/Cthun priest to activate Chillmaw from Curators, cause i was getting it quite often and it actually works :D Its hilarious to watch your opponent just use a spell to remove it and have his entire board wiped :D Good thing about azure drake is, its an awesome card on its own so no downside there :)
Good list, but i kinda dont agree with Deadwing, its shit cause its way too slow and does nothing for u, if ur not playing Dragon Nzoth deck, i would much rather pick Toad most of the time for example.
thalnos tier 4 and loot hoarder tier 2?!? were you drunk when you posted this? in most cases thalnos is much better than loot hoarder. in most cases they are only used for the card draw so they have equal value, but there are much more cases where spell damage will give you more value than 1 more damage on a minion that will probably won't get to attack
I think the Huge Toad is a little better, end up with it being the best pick against aggro pretty often. Control type games where you don't really need anything, say you have your midgame pretty well covered, then I think The Skeleton Knight jumps up to tier 1, behind only Shifting Shade and Sylvanas Windrunner. That's if yours is a N'zoth deck.
I agree with most of your list, well put. I would rate Huge Toad a little bit higher maybe, especially against Shaman. You nailed Tier 5, all horrible picks that I stay far far away from.

I guess it depends on if you run Holy Nova or not. Most of the time, 3 dmg AoE (or 4 with Auch/Embrace + Circle) is enough to clear the board, but an opponen't minion taking 2 damage from LH will put it in AoE range, vs Thalnos which will not. If my only next AoE option is Auch + Circle, I definitely do not want Thalnos - having a 3/1 on board after a clear is far better than having nothing.

Corrupted Healbot – I have mixed feelings on this card. Really strong body, awesome late game synergy with Embrace the Shadow + Shadow Word: Death and is a pretty good soft taunt.

Tier 4 – All of these are “can be okay but you’re usually offered better.”
The Skeleton Knight
Wobbling Runts
Anubisath Sentinel
Twilight Summoner
Bloodmage Thalnos
Huge Toad
Tentacle of N'Zoth – Consider picking this card vs Zoo and Shaman, as it’s cheap 1-dmg AOE.
Tier 5 – Never pick these cards, ever.
Majordomo Executus – Straight up is bad.
The Beast
Spawn of N'Zoth – Priest rarely has the kind of board for this card.
Leper Gnome – Not needed at all in Priest decks.
Zealous Initiate – Same reason you don’t pick Spawn of N’Zoth
Anyways, I’d love to hear your thoughts. tl;dr Generally, pick T1 > T2 > T3 > T4 > T5, and consider T2/T3 > T1/T2 in certain situations. You will be offered Shifting Shade 4 times as often as any other card, and good thing it's a top pick.
