I have been playing Hearthstone for about a week now and built a Secretadin deck based off one of the builds on this website. Secret Keepers seemed to be in a variety of the Secretadin builds and I have been unable to utilize them properly. They are usually either shut down too easily or even if I get to play a few secrets with them, the benefit that I would get wouldn't outweigh the cost that I would use for that turn.
Any suggestions or tips on how to properly use them? Thank you!
It's a 1 mana card, so even if you play just 1 secret with it on the board you are already getting value with this.
Just play it on turn 1 because starting with a secret suck. Even if you don't have secret in hand your opponent want to kill it as soon as possible, and she get even more value against secret based class.
Thanks for the replies! For some reason I just assumed I was supposed to be getting more out these Secret Keepers than I was, but it sounds like I have been using them correctly.

if its getting shut down like a trade in 1 for 1 or silenced, its played correctly.

Thanks again.
Indeed.
If your expecting your turn 1 minion to survive to turn 2 then that's where your having issues.
Secret keepers are mini taunts. You thrown them down and your opponent will make sure to take care of em asap. Similar to mana wrym imo.
