Seriously, they should cost 2 or 3 mana, to be on par with other classes. Hell, they are even better than some of the 3 mana secrets from rogue hunter or mage.
I don't really think you'd have much luck defending the statement that the paladin secrets are "better" than hunter and mage secrets (several of the rogue secrets are grossly underpowered).
Obviously if you set up a specific enough scenario, you can come up with spots where paladin secrets produce better results for a specific board state, but that's not really what's meant by one card being "better" than another. You sort of have to evaluate effects for general value.
Two pairs of secrets lend themselves to easy 1 to 1 comparisons: Eye for an Eye vs Misdirection and Oh My Yogg! vs Counterspell
Eye for an Eye can certainly turn out to be a better circumstance when the incoming damage will kill your opponent. However, in general, the fact that Misdirection prevents the damage to your face and may result in a positive trade (since you know the secret, you'll have the opportunity to effect some of the possible combat outcomes) makes it the better card.
Oh My Yogg! can certainly result in negative outcomes for your opponent (there's even a very difficult achievement to kill your opponent with it), but Counterspell is a guaranteed negative outcome and prevents spellburst from triggering.
The only paladin secret that seems to clearly outperform other classes is Reckoning. No matter how you slice it, that card overperforms hard for a 1 mana spell. But of course, they can't just have one secret costing a different amount or any perceptive opponent would know what it is immediately.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

Sorry, I should stated that I'm talking about standard.
