I'm curious if anyone can confirm they actually hit Legend and had a decent run through Diamond with Murloc Pally. I made the deck a few days ago and somehow I'm having success with it and made it to Diamond 1. I'm considering going back to Rogue, but part of me wants to keep on trucking. Can a straight aggro deck like this really do it in the current meta or is this just a fluke?

Lol.
Demon Hunters and Face Hunter do exactly that all day long. To answer your question: Yes, I strongly believe that also Murloc Paladin can do it, might need a few more games though but if you made it to D1 already Legend is literally around the corner. Especially now end of season you should just grind it out.
I played it yesterday from 4 platin till 8 diamont. Lost only 3 games. Two against murloc shaman and one against renomage with the hero reno card. It's been so long I climbed so easy. To be honest I wouldn't expect such a good winrate. I guess it will be a little bit worse the more ranks I will climb. But lets see, maybe I will reach legend. This will be the first time.
Just hit legend with Murloc Paladin, from rank 3 to legend with 0 losses, but I curved perfectly most games, I've been playing murlocs throughout the month with close to 50-50 winrate, but today you can say things worked out better than average.
I finally broke through with the deck. First time legend with Murlocs of all things. It was looking bad for a minute, but finally got it on my 4th "boss battle" try. From my experience the deck is pretty strong against all classes except...of course the DH. Like a few said earlier, I too added a Consecration into my decklist and it truly helps against DH and Rogue. Murgurgle definitely is essential if you ask me. Just a great minion early that can stick, and the Prime 100% won me a handful of games that I thought were hopeless.

It's a Tier-1 deck right now!
Bad agains all Demon Hunters and Egg Warrior 35-40 %
48% vs Higlander Mage and Galakrond Warlock
and 50+ winrate vs ALL other decks!
so if you don't see a lot of DH you can really push to Legend with it

I hit legend with it, even without Murgur Murgurgle. I did it substituting a Consecration in, which really helps in the demon hunter matchup.

Check out some of my decks:
Yes, from rank 3 to legend I didn't got to play a single Murgurgle Prime. It's not a must have card for sure.
