Honestly people are getting far too bogged down by the tribe tag here at this point. Had the legend been a non murloc with the same effect, only summoning 2/2s rather than random murlocs, people would be looking at it entirely differently, and more favourably. Just because it says Murloc, does not mean it has to be run in murloc decks. Both the "murloc" support cards are actually just really good tools for paladin independent of murloc, and bogging yourself down by it is doing yourself a disservice.
At this point, I chuckle when I see murlocs in paladin. Like, sure, why not? Murlocs in armour are cute. I have no interest in playing a murloc deck like tip the scales, but if a card is good and happens to be a murloc? I'm not going to complain.
Paladin prime legendary objectively is strong card, can be played in any paladin deck.
subjectively is garbage, idk why i got my hopes up for some cool librams synergy lego...last year was garbage for paladin class, hoped for some change this time, but looks like we are going pure-otk-libram-murloc-dragon-everything archetypes again...back to playing hunter for another year.
I had some thoughts about the Legendary Murgur Murgurgle and if he is your wincondition you probably wanna play a slightly more cycle heavy deck , maybe with Salhet's Pride etc.
And for the Librams... yeah as Trump already mentioned, the Aldor Attendant is by herself a little weak. The body is ok on curve (but also bad without taunt its useless lategame) . Also, same as with Frizz Kindleroost , the question is how much value do we get out of the card? Maybe we play all 6 but i have doubts, and is it worth it anyway ? Since there is no point in reducing Libram of Wisdom any further if we play Aldor Truthseeker already ( wich is the better card per mana imo). Anyway, i was hoping for another Libram spell to get more value out of the reducing cost batlecrys.
This right here was the only reason I felt any disappointment with the two new murloc cards. Because I was feeling we were one midgame libram short of a complete package. It feels slightly unfinished, but we have what we have. And I don't think paladin is in a bad spot, just not dominant either.
We have 10 Paladin cards revealed. 7 support buff Paladin, 3 support murlocs. I don't see the problem. You won't get BOTH the legendaries to support the same theme. Look for Libram paladin to be far more viable later down the road when there are more Librams available.

I guess that's true. I don't mind the non-murloc related text if it had a non-murloc theme. Feels edgy to say, but the Frozen Throne expansion with cards like Bolvar made me nostalgic.
I mean I get it, but who cares about lore? Clearly many but - are the cards fun? is the game fun and does it work? is it balanced? these should take emphasis imo
You just answered your question. Many.
Lore is part of what makes the game fun. And the fact that they're picking a way of fulfilling a class' mechanism in a way that distinctly flies in the face of lore, in the feel of the class, when alternatives exist? Come on.

Paladins prime can be used in any kind of paladin deck. It's good tempo and value. The fact that all the murlocs will have divine shield is the key.
I personally like it. I like librams more. I would prefer a prime that has smth to do with them.

I also would have preferred pure Paladin support.
Both warrior legendaries support control tho
Eh,i just hope they will stick with librams/fishes themes
dont try to push another 4 different ones..

I eat Kingsbane rogues for breakfast.
