I don't have the full cards yet but as it seems yes! Paladins are getting speical spells called Librams that have a decently powerful effect. They also get 2 minions (2 mana 2/3 reduce the cost of your Librams by (1) and a 5 mana 4/6 with Taunt (Reduce the cost of your libramsa by (2). We got to see 3 spells that are librams.
Oh, I forgot about the libram mana reduction stuff. That does make it seem quite a bit stronger. Without it, the two librams we can see atm are pretty overpriced though. Edit: well, I didn't forget about them, they just hadn't showed up on site when I wrote my comments yet. The last five minutes have been very confusing lmao
Yessss, I'm very hyped for this! I've been playing almost exclusively Paladin for the last couple of years and was thinking of quitting the game because it just didn't feel like Paladin anymore.
Now these cards, they have flavor! Even if they don't turn out to be very strong (let's hope they are though), it will feel like you're actually playing as a Paladin.
Hmm i just watched the video on yt .. it seems a pretty interesting mechanic but i dont know how good it will actually be i guess will see...
Truth is i just wanted some more pure paladin synergy cards .. it seemed like an interesting archetype but it didnt have much tools to be worth not running neutrals.
Nah, I don't think Libram Paladin will be a thing. If it indeed becomes a thing, it'd be because of that infinite value combo, and they'd nerf that on a whim.

Check out my ambitiously horrific custom expansion, Call of the Ocean!
Whenever I play Paladin I always survive with healing, now we have the ability to summon giant minions, a decent board clear and a nice swarm combo. I think Paladin could tier up to 2 in competitive but time will tell.
If you watch the video, there's a 9-mana libram that heals for 8 and gives you a 8-8 with taunt and divine shield. That's pretty strong if you ask me, especially if you can get the spells back with Liadrin!
EDIT: Ah, it just popped up now. You can reduce that card to 3 mana, once you played both copies of the 2 cost-reducion minions.
Honestly, the Libram package is nice and all, but I feel that it's way lower on the power scale compared to some of the other crap we're seeing. Personally I don't see Paladin having that great a chance of becoming top tier yet simply because the design is so all over the place. Blizzard really needs to pick a couple of archetypes and push them really frickin hard over the coming year if Paladin archetypes want to stop being a meme.
I wonder if they're gonna have a lot of Librams in this expansion and then just basically forget about them, or if this is going to be a year long theme like the lackeys. Regardless, there is some exciting potential here for sure.
Lmfao just as I wrote my previous comment, Libram of Hope pops out. Yeah, the three librams, Liadrin, and the mana reduction cards suddenly turned into a pretty solid package. Libram of Hope being given by Liadrin and costing 3 mana after being reduced to the maximum is pretty damn sick.

They did it, THEY ACTUALLY DID IT!
PALADINS UNITEEEEEEE
What happened? Did i miss something?
Is it though? Neither of the two librams seem particularly strong.

Look at lady Liadrin now. Getting back all those cards with the cost reduction? That's great value

Unlike some previous archetypes, this one looks like it has enough support and good synergy with other cards, which can make it viable and fun.

Only paladin card decks gonna be decent I think
