As someone who has mained playing Paladin since beta and piloting Dragon Paladin decks since BRM my hype levels for this expansion were through the roof. I have waited for 5 years for Blizzard to make a dragon theme expansion and they finally delivered!
My excitement and hype did sadly dwindle down after all the cards were revealed. Only 5 cards we got that supported the archetype and even then, compared to what other classes got this expansion, I don't feel they will be strong enough with what we got earlier this year to make Dragon Paladin competitive enough. I am gonna work hard and try two variants of Dragon Paladin. First will be a midrange/control Dragon Paladkin and the other will be a Highlander Dragon Paladin (what I am most excited for and feel will be the best between the two)
My last hope will be the new adventure coming out with new cards we will get some stronger support cards. My hope would be for a solid 1 drop dragon and or a support card, and perhaps a card that can take advantage of Nozari and Nozdormu. Would love a card that made our battlecries affect only ourselves which would be amazing! Imagine a 1 sided Nozari and Nozdormu but requiring two cards to make it happen!
Time will tell! I will start crafting decks with week and experimenting with them!
I don't see how it couldn't. You pay 4 Mana to give your opponent 10 mana to respond to an 8/8. People play 8/8s on 10 constantly, because they are so hard to remove. And if your opponent manages to deal with that, somehow, then the next turn you can drop a 4/12 and heal them back to full! It's foolproof...
And if your opponent still won't give in, you can handbuff a random dragon with 3/3. That's a win condition right there.
The last thing I want is a 'solid' 1 mana dragon in the Alexstrasza pool. I'd write a long very frustrated rant if it ended up in the neutral discover pool. Worrying about a 2 mana 3/2 is bad enough. Unless it's going to be outright broken I want nothing to do with it.
I feel you, i have 2000 wins with paladin, and always had the dream to play a good dragon paladin since the Blackrock mountain adventure. I understand that highlander dragon paladin may be good, but this is not exactly what i expected, still pretty happy with this expansion, but not with paladin which is my favorite class.

Try putting weapon and buff synergy which includes val'anyr, ebon dragonsmith, dragonrider talritha and hoard pillager :)

Sand Breath legitimately probably isn’t strong enough to put in a dragon deck.
