Some of the new cards gave me an inspiration for a Paladin deck. Tbh I was in trouble, because really wanted to create something new, but with the already revealed cards I just don't see a direction (mostly a finisher) of a healer deck.
Then I got the idea that OTK Paladin is an okay deck, but staying alive is a big problem. At first I tried to take Time Out! in, but there wasn't enough space for all the cards. Later I came up with the current state of the deck, because I really hope the healing-support will be effective.
I will refresh the list as new cards appear, maybe with a new win-condition. Feel free to make suggestions!
Explanations: Immortal Prelate: Great target for buffs and can be pulled of with Call to Arms. If it will not get any buffs, no problem. Zandalari Templar: Currently I have no idea how slow will it be, maybe not that much. Call to Arms: Helps us to reach our combo faster. Dinosize: A big spell which is always a surprise for your opponent. Immortal Prelate should love it. Lay on Hands: Big spell, healing and drawing. All three are needed. Lynessa Sunsorrow: A great control-support.
im sorry but u need to find space for Time Out! theres a reason why Ice block was moved, and an otk deck that can stall for two turns is mandatory
Maybe you are right, but I would like to see first how the deck will perform in this form with only the healing support. I also have to mention that Immortal Prelate with a possible Spikeridged Steed will help you to stay alive. Also Zandalari Templar. Both are new face-defender stuff.
All the spells in your deck, have you considered the spirit of the tiger?
I did, but in my opinion at first you have to stay alive until you can OTK (or outvalue), which can be hard. Spirit of the Tiger doesn't help in this, but can be a dead card in your hand against aggressive decks. And you are really vulnerable when playing against aggro.
My point is the spirit card is not better than any of the included ones in this gameplan. And this is the only (possibly) viable gameplan I see with the new cards.
You don't play steed and dinosize in the same deck with Lynessa. You need to remove dinosize.
I disagree. Sure, if Dinosize is the second proc you will not gain as much health as possible, but she will still get a Taunt and a nice Deathrattle. Both are helpful. And both cards are needed for the cost-discount.
My concern on Lynessa is Lay on Hands if you cast it on a minion, but why would you?
sound the bells could be a good replacement for dinosize and would work both better with wild pyromancer, lynessa and shirvallah
Valid point, thanks! Don't know how I missed it. I am updating the list, but have to figure out the amount of copies first. Do I need 2? What would you cut off for the 2nd one?
I think 1 should be fine, but if you feel like you are missing a bit... Then maybe 1 loot hoarder? Also an interesting card to consider would be corpsetakers. They would definitely get the procs of lifesteal, and likely taunt and divine shield as well. (I am going to be making such a deck myself that is why they come to mind)
in my opinion you are heading in too many different directions. you included the OTK package with brewmasters + zola and you named it Healer OTK paladin but you play cards like sound the bells, lay on hands and zandalari templar instead of 2x Time Outs / Shrink Rays or Prismatic Lens.
vs otk/control/combo decks you need to hit your otk combo faster... immortal prelate does not help drawing your combo pieces faster he does the opposite, same goes for zandalari templar.. vs aggro he is too slow and only a vanilla 4/4 on curve and vs control decks you need thekal to activate him.. time out is much better to stabilize vs aggro than a vanilla 4/4 because as control paladin you just need time to draw your combo pieces
i also have to say that spirit of the tiger is a much better tool vs aggro than many of your early drops because you can't get board-control vs aggro without spells anyway ( i play many non aggro paladin decks and even with MCT, other good anti aggro 1/2/3 drops, weapon support) it is almost impossible to stop aggro without some pyro combos as control pala... equality + consec with a tiger on board would result in a board clear + a 4/4 + 2/2 tiger + 0/1 spirit , great targets for steed for the next turn after your opponent plays more minions to get board back. Time Out helps to reach equality+pyro/shrinkray/call to arms turns without losing 10+ health and your opponent is stuck with the decision if he wants to commit more minions to the board or he holds them back because he thinks you will board clear.
tl:dr if you want to maximize the success of your OTK .. you need time out and more board-control spells/ card draw instead of medicore minions which are only great in specific situation which hardly occure on turn 1-6 vs aggro... I myself theorycraft atm on a Hakkar+fatigue/value paladin and I am sure your list can work but only if you cut the otk niche and commit more to your buff/heal/value theme with a 2nd Immortal Prelate and Spirit + Val'anyr + Ashmore (drawing Zilliax, Val'anyr, Shivrallah, Immortal Prelates).. OTK is better without other themes... just try to find your combo pieces faster
I believe you might be right. Don't even know why I didn't include Thalnos. Well, I am curious about the whole Paladin thing, can't wait to make some tests after release.
Anyway, I still don't see how a slower Paladin would be viable without the OTK option, but it needs more optimalization as you suggested.
Hey guys,

question does Shrivalah get pulled with Call to Arms if it has been discounted to 2 or less, or its mana cost only switches after u draw it?
I did, but in my opinion at first you have to stay alive until you can OTK (or outvalue), which can be hard. Spirit of the Tiger doesn't help in this, but can be a dead card in your hand against aggressive decks. And you are really vulnerable when playing against aggro.

Updated! Thanks for the replies.
- Dinosize
+ Sound the Bells!
What you guys would cut for a 2nd copy of Sound the Bells?
I think 1 should be fine, but if you feel like you are missing a bit... Then maybe 1 loot hoarder? Also an interesting card to consider would be corpsetakers. -1x Immortal Prelate
-2x Zandalari Templar
-1x Lay on Hands
-1x Crystology
-2x Stonehill Defender
-1x Sound the Bells!
+2x Time Out!
+1x Shrink Ray
+1 Bloodmage Thalnos / additonal or instead of 1x Loot Hoarder, always use Bloodmage over Loot Hoarder because of the 3dmg consec vs hunter spellstone
+2x Prismatic Lens (especially when you use Shivrallah)
+2x Spirit of the Tiger
tl:dr if you want to maximize the success of your OTK .. you need time out and more board-control spells/ card draw instead of medicore minions which are only great in specific situation which hardly occure on turn 1-6 vs aggro... Well, I updated the list after the recommendations. This is how it looks now:
