Hello! Even Paladin is dead.. long live Prince Liam!
Spiteful Liam!
The gameplan is simple. Try to curve out well vs aggro/midrange decks or play azalina vs controlish/combo decks. ( 10-1 with this decklist, 18-8 with older versions. rank3+)
I always wanted to play Prince Liam and thought about combining him with Prince Keleseth. Adding spiteful summoner to a minion-based deck was my next thought and it turned out rly well! The different win-conditions make this deck very flexible and fun to play.
Combine all 3 things and your opponent will have a hard time to predict your next plays.
Some cards explained:
Prince Keleseth: We play hardly spells and a huge amount of medicore 1-drops.. atleast let us buff them to make the topdecks better. Nothing new and almost autoinclude in any Spiteful Summoner deck. His +1/+1 buff also works on Prince Liams random legendaries - ignoring the sequence when he was played.
Bright-Eyed Scout: won me some games with 5 mana dinosize/lich kings or just random legendaries generated via Prince Liam. Maybe this card can be replaced with something else but atm I favour Scout over Acolyte, Stonehill Defender, Tar Creeper...
Prince Liam: Winning as Jarraxus, dinosizing Al'Akir, finishing with Grommash Hellscream.. Prince Liam makes it possible! Fun fact: Your random legendaries will still have Prince Keleseth's +1/+1 buff after the transformation!
Spiteful Summoner: He got nerfed but free random 8 drops are still too good to ignore and you might be surpised how many 8 drops with charge/rush there are in the current rotation.
Feel free to test it and share your game experience :) I might update the deck/guide within the next days, still testing some things.
I always like new decks an this looks good except maybe slighly to much expensive cards. Lich King is very good but i would exchange it here with a glass knight ;-). And i am not shure if Valnyr would fit in well. Its 6 mana but looks strong here.
Val'anyr can fit in if you play more aggressive cards. I would try it with Chillblade Champion , Leeroy Jenkins and Saronite Chain Gang. My decklist more controlish and without Lifesteal I might die too fast if I play Val'anyr because it needs some time to generate the value but 6 drops are not that good atm and Val'anyr is not that bad overall.
During my climb and testing I only had 2-3 games were I had a problem with too many expensive cards in my hand, most of the time you curve out well. In the beginning I used DK Uther instead of Lich King but I ended up with Lich King after few games of testing.
I am still not 100% sure what cards I should use and I think it rly depends on daily meta you face but I tried so many different cards (Corpsetaker, Saronite Chain Gang, Tar Creeper, Saronite Chain Gang, Leeroy Jenkins, 2x Spellbreaker, Paragon of Light, Bright-Eyed Scout..) + the core cards ( Spiteful Summoner + Prince Liam + Prince Keleseth ) and everyhing seems to work and I like that :)
I have the same thing with other decks trying to optimize with chaning 1-3 cards but never being shure about the impact... Even when having no cards above 5 costs i opted the lich king out in my warrior deck but it would fit very well there.... Currently trying shaman again and the same decisions ... Get beaten by aggro mage quite constantly (have that problem with most of my deck guess it is my prefered flexible playstyle that is vulnerabe to that deck ...) but rest seems fine. Of course you can always loos against any top meta deck.
