I really hope the Witchwood will bring along a good early game rush minion for Paladin. If u think about it, it makes perfect sense to give one to Paladin, it's always been the "Fair Play" class. Fighting for board control early can be difficult if you dont play one of the 2 aggro decks that are Tier 1 right now. Especially since you dont have cheap removal spells in the kit. (Paladin was never able to deal 3 damage for 2 mana).
And since those aggro decks will be strongly affected by the rotation, rush could potentially enable a new midrange Paladin deck. The Glass Knight would be super nuts (and probably way too strong) with rush.
I will be mad if they dont print a good rush card for my favourite class :(

doesn't look like Rush was intended as a Paladin mechanic. So far Hunter and Warrior seem to be focussed around it. Paladin seems to be getting a lot more ddefensive cards this time.
No.... the alst thing we need is Call to Arms bringing a rush card, making CTA even more broken than it is now, we don't need a more broken CTA, we need a less broken one

Give it Battlecry: Rush and the problem is solved (what the Patches nerf should have been). I'm not saying I agree (or disagree) with OP, but your point is very valid...unless it's a battlecry.
Paladin is already the strongest class in the game, they don't need more strong tools. If anything, they should be the class getting nothing but junk this expansion.

That is true for the current card-pool, but with rotation both Paladin decks will lose key cards that make these decks good right now:
Vilefin Inquisitor and Grimscale Chum in Murloc Paladin. Loosing 2 Murloc 1 Drops will reduce the decks consitency significantly
And of course Rallying Blade, which is super super strong right now and always has been.
I think aggressive Paladin decks will struggle a lot come rotation, so far no powerful cheap minions have been revealed that could replace said cards.
Giving Paladin a rush minion in the spirit of Militia Commander, lets say for 3 mana (for those of you afraid of Call to Arms). would mean so much for a board centric, midrange archetype that tops off at Lynessa or Tirion maybe. Still dont know how thats gonna compete with Warlock, but thats a different story.

With the loss of Rallying Blade, Wickerflame and Rag Lightlord, Control Paladin and the almost extinct Midrange Paladin do need an early control tool. Most Maul versions are useless if you have no minions on the board and it doesn't even kill 3 health minions. I think Paladins need something like:
4 mana 3/3 Valiant Vanguard
Rush. Costs (1) less for each enemy minion on the board.
This way, it can't be cheated out with Call to Arms, but still enables you to trade favourably vs. early aggression.

Well met! Exactly my feelings. I want a proactive tool to fend off aggression. Love your card idea.
And I am totally gonna miss my golden Wickerflame in standard :( Wickerflame comboed with redemption and Getaway Kodo from Hydrologist carried me to legend twice in Pirate Warrior meta.

Save aggro paladins from rush mechanics. Anything else, can be divine shield as 3/3 dude is rotating out. But please, no rush for class which goes face. Don't let them even more take the board.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

There's still hope, because we still have one Legendary left.
Only good Paladin cards atm are Rebuke & Sound the Bells.
No. No. No.
paladin is cancer.
Will not not be getting anymore good cards until call to arms rotates out. Have fun with that.

Lol what?
What about Warlock & Priest,oh wait they're balanced probably because you play them.
Paladin needs strong control cards. Preferably dragons.

We definitly do not an early rush card for paladin, because of Call to Arms

CTA will continue to restrict Pally design space for the next year.
I think Paladin has all the early game tools required to make an excellent aggressive deck. Giving Paladin an OP rush card would be overkill.
