I am currently sitting at rank 2 on the ladder with a murloc paladin deck. I have one spellbreaker in it. But I am wondering if it's even worth it anymore. It's there to get around a Warlock lackey or voidlord. But against the other popular decks - paladins, mages, etc - it is rarely useful.
Should I just accept Warlock matches are probable losses and take the card out?
If you are ok with taking a 40% WR vs locks down to sub 20% then sure, go right ahead. It's not a terrible card to have at least 1 and counters more than just locks(OTK priest for instance).
I don't like Spellbreaker at all. It's basically a hatch against Cubelock and Cubelock alone. With Cubelock currently being 8.4% of the total meta, generally adding cards for that matchup seems like a bad plan.
Even if it gives you 10% better winrate against cube but loses you 1% against everything else it's still losing you more games than it wins you. You might argue that it's also good against control lock but that matchup is so terrible, that a few tech cards won't save it so just crossing fingers to not play against them is better.
