What do you think is the best Paladin deck right now?
I love playing Pally control, but I'm stuck at rank 5 and having a bit of trouble tuning the deck for the current meta. If I add more small stuff to help deal with aggro then it makes me weaker against other control decks.
Thoughts on the best deck atm?
Anyone hit legend with Pally lately and care to share their deck?
Yeah, and it also isn't as strong as it used to be against priest and warrior. I used to have no problems beating both of those before naxx, but they each got stronger, while pally got nothing except a secret that is worthless in control. Death's Bite on the other hand is absolutely amazing.
Spent a couple of weeks developing this and I've been running this from rank 10 (right after the heavy aggro ranks) to rank 4, only having dropped 2 games (to mage aggro) on the way there. Previous to that I was running an anti-aggro Control Warrior (similar to the ones used in KR/CN masters).
This control deck is designed to have a good matchup against midrange and a heavily favored matchup against most standard control decks. Run this deck if the meta is diverse/unpredictable, you're seeing around only 30% aggro or less, and fewer than 50% of decks are running The Black Knight. That's the meta I've been experiencing during my climb, and the deck's been capitalizing on it. You can click on the deck link for explanation on some of the card choices.

Control Paladin wrecks Warrior, it's like a 80-20 matchup. You just have to play super-patient. Priest is a bit tougher though, the Mind Control that Priests run nowadays makes it pretty tough.

Yeah that's the way it used to be for me, but lately maybe I've just been having bad luck.

i notice you don't run holy light or lay on hands. IT's more efficient to just run 2 x guardians, eh?
Yeah. I can only really justify running Lay on Hands over the second Guardian if the meta's a lot slower (part of why it's popular in tourneys). If the deck doesn't have Azure Drakes, this becomes even more significant because you'll need your opponent's deck to be so slow that you need don't to see more of your cards in a timely manner (because you only want to run one copy of Lay on Hands and it comes so late). Lay on Hands is also good if the meta is dominated by certain combo decks. In all other cases, Guardian of Kings is generally better because the tempo loss on Lay on Hands is just too huge.
Holy light is a heavy tech card, and I feel there just aren't enough reasons to tech it in right now. For example, I ran Holy Light along with Stalagg last season when Hunters were everywhere, and it allowed me to trade 2 mana for 6 and ultimately outrace or outlast them. But with Hunters showing up in much lower numbers as I'm ranking up this season, I don't think it's worth the card disadvantage.

I agree with Mr. Smith. I love control pally, but the meta is still overrun with cancer. What about Shockadin/aggro pally?
The best Paladin deck, is to not play Paladin. Play something busted like zoo instead.
zoo isn't busted

That deck looks good. The only thing I don't have is Ysera, but that's next on my list of legendaries to craft.
