Greetings guys . I have all standard paladin legendaries except burnbristle and DK uther . I was wondering if there is any point in crafting DK uther without having Beardo . Is he essential in a control deck or i can just do fine competitively without him(and without burnbristle) ?
As a proud owner of Uther of the Ebon Blade, I'd advice against crafting him for now. It's a fairly niche card atm; While the 5/3 lifesteal weapon is fantastic for survivability and burst damage, a bit of armor is always good, and the upgraded hero power with alternative win condition is potentially useful (even without exodia-style shenanigans it puts a lot of pressure on your opponent to keep the board clear) it's very slow and frankly not very strong atm. I use it instead of The Lich King in a midrange pally deck where it does alright but it is far from a crucial inclusion.
Wickerflame Burnbristle is used in just about every pally deck right now and is a much safer craft frankly.
The card is pretty strong and gives you great late game survivability, but it is not at all an essential card to craft. I could see substituting him with a lay upon hands or a big fancy legendary. The thing the other cards won't give you are his 5-15 damage reach with lifesteal and the ability to win any fatigue game where you are not up against another death knight. He cool and nice to have, but not necessary. I would just give him a pass if you didn't roll him in the solo adventure.
I've pulled it off several times. You need 2 coins and a secret, which with burgly bullies and neurologist are easy to get. The real trick is figuring out whether to stall until you can pull the combo off or play straightforward control and try to close the game out early. Card management is a must, since you're holding 4-5 cards to perform the otk.
Uther of the Ebon Blade is a decent card in control paladin, it does what paladin good at such as weapon, healing, and buffing tokens (2/2). Btw, it doesn't have much impact to the board as other DKs do like Shadowreaper Anduin or Bloodreaver Gul'dan. If you about to lose your board control, uther doesn't provide the comeback.
Imo, it is not worth crafting right now until the meta favors for the control paladin.
I wouldn't suggest crafting it at this time, it's one of the lowest impact DK's. When you look at it the effect is not that impressive, especially if you take into account the possibility of the weapon being destroyed by your opponent or something.

Well he is a nice addition because of extra heal and upgraded heropower, but you can possible run without
You don't really need Uther of the Ebon Blade, but I'd say it's good enough to be played in a control deck even without the OTK.
The real problem is: control paladin is a tier 4 deck atm.

I have never played a game where someone tried the Exodia Paladin gimmick. Does it really work?

Worth it, do it. Trust me, I'm a pally god.
