Hey guys, Aishi here with another Paladin deck. The class is just so much fun to play, even though I don't have Tirion (don't worry, I'll fix that soon). The concept behind this Paladin deck is a strong minion base, with a plethora of early game cards to push you into the all-important 4 mana turns, where the majority of Paladin cards are. These Paladin cards trade well enough to give you a few turns of control, then late game you'll starve out your opponent or have counterplay to any of their cards.
Lets review the cards a bit: - Argent Protector is simply a good card, and we have three other 3 attack 2 mana drops. - Youthful Brewmaster is key in this deck, you can bounce any of your minions into your hand and gain another battlecry - Big Games are something to be kept in your hand, they die much too easily - Aldors are amazing, and they have a cool synergy with Kodo - Four basic Paladin 4 mana cards, covers any and all situations - Dark Iron Dwarf buffs your 1/1's for excellent trades and puts pressure on the board, 4 mana 4/4's are excellent - I chose Spellbreaker over Owl because 4 attack is good, 3 health survives a bit better, and we're low on 4 mana minions - Kodo eats things for free, works in tandem with Aldor, perfect - Sylvanas is an amazing card - The dastardly duo of Harvest Golem and Shattered Sun Cleric work wonders in any deck . This is no exception. - We win the game through card advantage while actively chipping down the opponent's health, until we can drop some bombs.
"Aishi, I don't have some of these cards! What do I do if I still want to play the same style of deck?" There's a few good replacements, Sylvanas can be replaced with 4~6 mana minion with good board presence - say, Silverhand Knight or Abomination. Ysera, is our end-game, but we can switch to a different end game like Stormwind Champion to push it a little more towards mid game and swing even a small board advantage to a game-winning one.
Changelog -1 Ysera / +1 Lay on Hands Ysera felt much too late game, she doesn't necessarily secure games as much as I'd like in a deck without real threats to bounce. Lay on Hands substitute for the lack of Ysera with a huge heal and winning naturally through card advantage. I will admit, Nightmare and Big Game Hunter is one of the best universal removal tools in the game.
-1 Blessing of Kings / +1 Avenging Wrath Avenging Wrath is an amazing card that needs to see more play. It has been showcased to great effect during the Innkeeper Invitationals and I've been seeing more of this card as a result. 6 mana for a total of 8 damage is nothing to pass up. I recently pulled one and added it to my decks without hestitation. Blessing of Kings requires board presence that may not be there.
-1 Big Game Hunter / +1 Shattered Sun Cleric Due to bounces and the lack of Ysera, 2 BGH were too much. SSCs are one of the best 3 drops in the game and bounce friendly. I'll be happy to use another excellent 3 drop in place of a dead-in-hand or squishier 2 health BGH.
-2 Sunwalker / +2 Harvest Golem Seems like an odd change, but the card is just too good to pass up. This means I don't have any taunts in the entire deck, and I'm not really sure I care about that. My minions have enough presence, my spells can clear, Kodo takes care of low drops as soon as he enters the field, Argent keeps slightly bigger minions in check, Truesilver is amazing, Aldor keeps the minions at low attack, and Lay on Hands is perfect for late game.
-2 Spellbreaker / +1 [/card]Acidic Swamp Ooze[/card], +1 Shattered Sun Cleric With the popularity of rush/swarm decks at the moment, I feel silences are few and far between useful. Same way my warrior works, just remove something with direct damage where possible or get the best trade for it. Unless a lack of a silence truly bothers you, I suppose compromise can be reached by only removing a Youthful Brewmaster, the bounce technically gives you silences once you draw the first one. I choose for stronger early/mid game presence.
-1 Ysera / +1 Ragnaros the Firelord Ragnaros is much more offensive, compared to Ysera. There's no real way the Paladin can keep the board clear for Ysera to come in except through an excellent mid game, the Paladin also has trouble closing out games. Lets put it this way: Ysera is for when you have board control, Ragnaros is when you need it.
So, what do we have here? We have massive board control, a strong early game, direct removal with Aldor, Kodo, and Big Game, reusable battlecries with Panda, and strong late game. Thanks for reading, hope you guys enjoy watching the deck in action:
Saw some of the games during the stream and the deck certainly preformed very well. It convinced me trying out the kodo for one of my arena runs and it certainly got me out of some sticky situations. Gonna craft one for constructed play when I have the dust available.

Kodo is such a good card. Priests like it, Hunters like it, Paladins like it. It's just incredibly versatile due to the battlecry. There is nothing more satisfying than feeding Acolyte of Pain, Mogu'shan Warden, Oasis Snapjaw, Frothing Berserker, and Gurubashi Berserker to Kodo. At 8 mana, Aldor into Kodo gives Paladin the direct removal they need. Definitely a pick in Arena and a general card that anyone who likes Hunter/Priest should pick up.
Wow, what league do you play? You make some terrible mistakes and the opponents you face kinda suck in the Youtube video.
You can see the rank on the top right of screen between matches, I'll leave that up to you to figure out. That aside, hindsight is 20/20, if you watch the video over and you know what the opponent played further into the future of the match, it's quite easy to see how it could have been done differently.
I'll be happy to receive criticism on specific plays rather than a blanket statement if you take the time to point that out.
I enjoyed playing this deck like the rest. The deck is solid because its has many generally good neutral cards. It is pretty standard with the exception of Kodo, Sunwalker and Sylvanas but I think that's what makes the deck strong. The kodocombo is fun even if costly because of it being 8 mana. Paladin has so many good cards in their 4 mana pool and other great cards in general (except secrets that are super gimmicky :P). The thing was I had tirion instead of one sunwalker. He's such a good legendary. Definitely try to fit him into your deck when you can.
I had a small problem with very early game rush + swarm decks because I didnt draw consecrate and I never realize how good avenging wrath was to clear the board or do direct damage. Won me multiple games.
Eh, Humility is iffy, the value of the card is very poor by itself. Maybe in the future if there are other Kodo-like effects.
Early aggression seems to be a common problem among mid-game Paladin decks, honestly, just mulligan more aggressively until you can grab something. I'll try to add more early game to this deck or Harvest Golems - something to stop the high pressure. I would be pretty happy if I survived to round 5 or so with 10 health against a rush deck, I would probably try to set up camp at the moment and Lay on Hand would be helpful to start looking for.
Wild Pyromancers are hard to use considering these Paladin spells are pretty costly, Tirion can be swapped with Sunwalker.
I have a few proposed changes coming up with this deck soon. I want to shift the mana curve backwards slightly and put in Rag.
- Sure, why not. I'd prefer both in any case, but I would choose Tirion over Sylvy.
- Sword of Justice is fun, Knife Juggler, Scarlet Crusader, find more useful early game. I don't mind Big Game Hunter, he's a cheap 4 damage 3 drop with a benefit.
- Yes, no problem removing one, but I still feel a silence is necessary. Clerics are still going to be played, the difference between 2 and 3 health isn't that bad and you wouldn't silence a 1/1 buff in the first place. Look for any good 5 drop, another Avenging Wrath, another BoK, maybe Equality if you add Knife Jugglers / SoJ, your call on how aggressive you want to be.
If you survive the first turns, this Deck become amazing!
In my last game I was against a Control Druid. Drop Tirion (I have him so I've replaced Sylvanas and a couple of other cards, becuse I don't have the BGH) and he was able to clear only the divine shield. So in my next turn: Blessing of Kings + Dark Iron...BOOM! I love him!
But, what do you think about replace x2 Harvest Golem for x2 Faerie Dragon? Just to have a better early game against mages?
Oh and I have swapped one Ooze for another Blessing. If I am against a Warrior (for example) I can eventually use a panda...
EDIT: I'm thinkung about Noble Sacrifice, but I am not sure if it can replace something on this specific Deck...

Nice, but that first kill video was overkill! Should have used Consecration instead of Truesilver! Perfect dmg wins are always the best :D

Thanks for this deck
I always wondered if Kodo's would be good in a Pala deck because of their ability to debuff creatures to 1 attack just a few questions
Would it be worth taking Humility, as well or is it a waste if so what would you replace with it?
Also i have tyrion what card would you replace with him?
How do you deal with early aggro decks i tend to find if i don't get a decent draw i end up with 10 health before i can even consecrate or truesilver
I have thought about Wild Pyromancer's but do not know if they would work with this deck and what i would replace it with

-How do you feel about swapping Sylvanas with Tirion?
-What would be a good replacement for Big Game Hunter seeing as I can't justify spending 400 dust on such a situational card?
-Lastly, does the recent nerf to cleric cause you to reconsider your removal of 2 spellbreakers?
