The quest is garbage, but it turns out aggro-murloc Paladin is pretty sick. I just hit rank 10 from rank 20 (no stars) in no time, with a 24-3 (89%) record. I won most games by turn 5-6, and won all 4 games against Quest Rogue.
The deck is bonkers. Gentle Megasaur is the star. Use poison when facing a taunt heavy deck, divine shield when facing other aggro or zoo, and +3 attack or windfury for SMorc (essentially a cheaper Bloodlust that also gives you a 5/4 body). As right as I was about the Paladin quest sucking, I'll admit I was very, very wrong about Hydrologist. Used strategically, with only 5 secrets, you have 60% chance of getting the one need, like a Noble Sacrifice to block a minion/charge/weapon, or a Repentance if your opponent is going to play a big/taunt. Last, Dinosize was a late addition (subbed in instead of a second Corrupted Seer). I didn't get one in my packs and forgot the card existed, but its won me a couple games since. Use it to destroy a big taunt like Ancient of War, or for game winning SMOrc.
Awesome deck. I made a few tweaks and went 3-0 so far (I know... small sample size. But i'm at work and can only take so long of a bathroom break....) But I did kill the new "handlock" on turn 4. My turn 1 Murloc Tidecaller was an 8/7 by then...
Hm, im gonna try this deck, i have everything needed except for Dinosize and a second Gentle Megasaur.
However, i never thought Dinosize would, work, is it really that important for the deck? What could be a replacement?
Dinosize Gives you that last bit of oomph to close out a close game vs a control deck that has kept your board under control. It isn't necessary for the deck to work, you'll just have slightly worse match up vs good control decks (which aren't that common atm anyways)

Kinda sad to be doing so well with a deck that is 2/3rd neutral cards. Makes me wonder if any class could do as good or better with this package.
Wow, good call on Curator, totally forgot Megasaur was a beast I will sub in for one Divine Favor I think. The reason I like having 2x Vilefin Inquisitor is twofold: My win rate is much higher when I play it turn one (better chance if 2 in deck) and second, if you get the second one, you can hero power twice that turn (for an extra 1/1). I've found Corrupted Seer can be a life saver against other zoo/aggro decks. Considering that my murlocs are more often than not buffed, I think Sunkeeper Tarim might hurt more than help (sucks because I crafted him right away)
Keep in mind paladin was dominating for the first 2 weeks of Old Gods, and look what happened after that
Lets wait untill people stop playing most of the quests that are terrible just for giggles, then see where paladin stands, though i will say aggro paladin is strong against most decks that skip turn 1 and have 1 less card in their hand (obviously)
Sigh, I was expecting a real deck to look at when seeing "Pally is back". But nah, just some more fucking murloc garbage. Why do paladins even have murlocs? Someone who's played warcraft or wow please explain I'd like to know. Sick and tired of fucking murlocs. I thought when anyfin shit rotated out, a fresh new type of deck would arise. Murloc pally...gtfo.
I imagine this mostly works now because everyone is testing greedy all-in quest decks with no reactive tools to deal with flooding, and once players remember that they need to run answers the effectiveness of flood paladin will decrease.

So, did Secret or Dragon Paladin come back? Oh wait, neither did and this is just an eboladin deck!
I apologize if I don't partake in your enthusiasm; but since Murloc Pally became a thing this class also became a joke. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Mid Pally isn't half bad...it just sucks against the most played deck in the meta unfortunately.
YES THANK YOU. This guy knows his shit. He's completely right about paladin becoming a joke now. The mighty have fallen into a single archtype of trash murlocs.

Try checking out the top deck in the Paladin Deck List right now. Elemental hand buff. Savjz used it get Legend. No murlocs to be seen; some iconic Paladin awesomeness in there.
He comes in and out! Currently I'm preferring Gluttonous Ooze to seal the deal against Pirate Warrior, but there is nothing wrong with Wickerflame, and he is a worthy replacement for Ooze. =) Wickerflame and Ooze means more than 5 3-drops and means you're cutting something important, though. There's actually a whole replacements section in the deck page itself full of swaps. Customization is a good thing! Just one place where we Paladin players are blessed. (Okay, maybe having flexible lists is our only blessing these days, but I'll take it!)
Humm.... I'll try to record from here for y'all. Off my gut and memory though, (and I'll put it in the page itself too), so far winrates are like... ~70% against Pirate Warrior, ~80% against aggro Zoolock (lost... Once, twice, I think? Played against it at least five times.), 90% against Hunter, 90% against Murloc Shaman, 30% against Elemental Shaman, 10% against Cancer Rogue (Yeah, unfortunately our class still sucks against theirs. Maybe the Tiger tech will change things!), and I can't think of anything else, no lie.
atm murloc shaman is way superior to murloc Paladin, able to do everything they do with a big hand refiller so idk why playing murloc paladin, in tgt they had more differantiations but now Shaman just can do everything a murloc paladin would bring but better, only thing paladins would have the edge on is some kind of handbuff murloc
No, not at all. Being able to spam murlocs through hero power is a game changer. A 1 mana 1/3 muroc is a huge advantage in an aggro deck. Hydrologist is sick. I have played a few murloc shamans a beat every one before they completed their quest. Not even close.
And to all those saying this is not a "real" paladin deck, I never played WoW, so I don't know crap about Paladin's "identity," but in hearthstone, murlocs are part of the paladin and shaman identities, each class having 6 murloc-related cards released.

-1 Vilefin Inquisitor (second battlecry is useless)
-1 Murloc Tidehunter
-1 Corrupted Seer (mainly because I never opened one and too lazy to craft it)
+1 The Curator (Gentle Megasaur is a beast...)
+1 Truesilver Champion
+1 Sunkeeper Tarim (3rd warleader basically, that also kills that huge taunt keeping you from lethal)

I'm proud to say I called that one...bout the only thing I got right though haha.

Oh shit, did not notice. I'll give it a shot. Now elemental pally is something that is new and awesome.

Since we're talking about midrange Paladins, I may or may not have been around that block before and have something for you.
