Very cool card. It is so different than any other Paladin Legendary that we've gotten because its low cost. It is basically a beefier Annoy-o-Tron with a conditional upside. It contests the board pretty damn well early game. Stops aggro in its tracks, Zoo will hate this quite a bit. And it leads right into Blessing of Kings, which means its effect goes out of control.
Also remember, it is damage DEALT not RECEIVED. So in total it should also restore 4 health if two minions attack into it to destroy it.
Basically a replacement for Divine Favor. It also thins your deck of bad top-deck draws in the late game. I like it because you can now build an aggro deck that is a bit more conservative with your cards, since your opponent's hand size doesn't matter.
Cool idea. Basically it is a 1/2 minion, which is quite bad with the exception that it cannot be pinged off. But if you raise its attack by just 1 point, it draws a card when it dies. Dire Wolf Alpha is probably the strongest way to achieve this since you get a fairly substantial body while trading.
I think this is the strongest card that the Paladin has gotten this expansion as of now, and it is a SECRET! It draws a card that you choose, very similar to that of Duplicate. I'm not sure if Deathrattles will go off, but if they do it is even stronger with cards like Cairne and Tirion.
Also there's consideration of putting it in a Reno Jackson deck or maybe in a C'Thun deck to guarantee a second important minion.
The new Paladin 2-drop and the direction they seem to be going with Paladin and overall the Grimy Goons faction. You lose tempo, but gain on value throughout the game. It is comparable to Wild Growth.
Pushes the same theme as Grimestreet Outfitter. However this seems to be more of a Midrange minion than an aggressive minion. It can snowball out of control if left on the board for long enough.
Good agenda pusher when it comes to Grimestreet Paladin.
Good card in aggressive Murloc decks that snowball the board.
What do you guys think about the new cards? Are you impressed? We actually don't know what the common cards are yet for Paladin.
Looks like paladin got the short end of the stick, Again.
The biggest problem with trying to build a midrange type of paladin is finding 30 cards you actually want to put in a deck. Look at how, for example, dragon warrior is a deck which almost builds itself. These cards aren't really impactful and are the types of cards you would put into already strong decks. But the core of those decks just simply isn't there.
Meanstreet Marshal suggests going with a token / buff kind of strategy while druid just got Mark of the Lotus. Now there is no way on earth that paladin can ever compete with druid in that regard. Actually come to think of it, Meanstreet Marshal is worse than Runic Egg.
The legendary has too poor stats and when the opponent clears it with their superior statted minions, you are forced to follow it up with a Consecration. Damn shame it's not a 3/2.
Small-Time Recruits is a super efficient card draw for a deck that is missing a 'core'. So the question becomes if the card quality of such a deck can compete with Spirit Claws and Maelstrom Portal. If Meanstreet Marshal is anything to go by, the answer is obvious.
Getaway Kodo is maybe the best of the bunch and can be used in a wide variety of decks. Paladin secrets typically have very low value or even no value at all, but this one creates value. It's quite sick with cards like Emperor Thaurissan and ragnaros. It also dissuades the opponent from clearing stuff and go face instead where the strong healing cards can come into effect.
All in all, if we don't get a Frostbolt type spell or any fast removal from the next reveal then I think that paladin will become even less represented on ladder than the current ~4%.
I like this card. Giving all of the minions in your hand +1/+1 can be quite strong, especially on 1-Drops. The Meanstreet Marshal becomes a 2/3 that draws a card! That's so much stronger than a Loot Hoarder. It turns Argent Squire into a Shielded Minibot, finally it turns Keeper of Uldaman into a Chillwind Yeti with an absurdly strong effect!
I think Grimestreet Outfitter is gonna be the card to make several pally decks work. Just look at dragon pally for example: turn 2 Grimestreet Outfitter into turn 3 Blackwing Technician which is a 4/6 now and turn 4 into a 4/7 Taunt Twilight Guardian. I mean good god! Even the new cards like Meanstreet Marshal will trigger his Deathrattle and with cards like Small-Time Recruits mean super value all day. I think this will be an auto include in every pally deck because of the sheer value. (And if dragon priest becomes really powerful dragon pally is an amazing counter due to all the 4 attack minions early on when this drops.)
The downside with this is that: you are playing a 1/1 on turn 2 (possibly). Which is a big tempo loss, especially against a good opening, so you would need the following turns to be good to make a comeback. It has some anti synergy with cards like Steward of Darkshire and buffing spells and weapons. Because you want that effect to hit minions in your hand.
The kind of cards which benefit the most from this card are divine shield- and charge minions.
Value wise, I think that the card is worth it if you can guarantee at least 3 cards, which is possible on turn 2 both on and off the coin, even if you played on T1. But that number may also be closer to 5. There is also the fact that cards like Forlorn Stalker and The Mistcaller have never worked.
I am seeing a deck coming together now which is good.
If you can resist the urge to play him early, he can eventually turn himself into a 3 mana minion that begs for removal almost as hard as Tirion. Possibly moreso, since you can NOT remove a big WB with small minions without healing the paladin for tons of health.
To me it's like, "I should probably get rid of this Grimestreet Enforcer, but I also have to save a removal for Tirion, and possibly Light Rag, and Burnbristle........I MUST CHOOSE!"
-Just speaking hypothetically, I'm no expert on deckbuilding
After thinking about the cards more I still think Grimestreet Outfitter is a really powerful as I stated in my last post. Namely in a dragon deck it would be very powerful if you got a good curve as a 4/6 on turn 3 is really powerful and can easily trade 2 for 1 with almost every early minion there is in the game (Outside of removal which might screw them when you drop a 4/7 taunt their way the following turn.) That new Grimestreet Enforcer is pretty sick also and has alot of uses but I think the Outfitter is better due to the fact he fills a 2 drop and although it isn't amazing it is the same as hero powering but possibly gives insane value early on as I stated just now.
PLUS Wickerflame Burnbristle is a really solid drop after an outfitter that is a 3/3 that trades quite well early on, heals for at minimum 6 hp, and has taunt to stem the aggressiveness.

Paladin still looks weak and I hope they're saving some really good pally cards
Where are you getting these cards?

A new Paladin card was shown!
Grimestreet Outfitter

EDIT: Minor spelling fixes.
Grimestreet Outfitter is not an aggressive card. It's a combo card.
The downside with this is that:

They got stuck with the grimey goons which has warrior and hunter (which are really good rn) so they are going to get really weak cards
Grimestreet Enforcer
I will admit that I'm hyped for this card. It's not as good as quartermaster, but similar.
Grimestreet Outfitter + Small-Time Recruits and this card are starting to form the backbone of a midrange deck.
Then of course Argent Squires, Argent Horseriders, Barnes, Keeper of Uldaman, Dragon Eggs, Justicar Trueheart and Rallying Blades.
Of course these new cards restrict the number of spells and weapons in the deck. Which might make it unplayable in the end.
Wickerflame Burnbristle is making more and more sense as more cards get revealed.
If you can resist the urge to play him early, he can eventually turn himself into a 3 mana minion that begs for removal almost as hard as Tirion. Possibly moreso, since you can NOT remove a big WB with small minions without healing the paladin for tons of health.

I can now say for certainty that Grimy Midrange Paladin will be a thing.
It can just apply so much pressure in the midgame, more so than Shaman even at particular moments.
Grimestreet Protector
Smuggler's Run
Looks like we got the priest treatment. Without having to do all the bitching and whining.
Yep. So far I'm happy with the cards we've got. I'm excited to see what our last Common card will be. I wonder if it's a weapon.
EDIT:
Seems like Paladin is the first class to have all of their cards shown.
As a huge Paladin main I can't say I'm disappointed. I'm glad that this set has pushed Paladin to be a bit more aggressive and midrange than control.
