You're going to need to provide the example if you think it is incorrect. I've just checked oxford and cannot understand your point.
"he was seized with an impotent anger"
He was unable to take effective action in regard to his anger.
and here's another example:
Yet it happened, and he felt helpless, powerless, and impotent.
There's nothing in addition there. The literal meaning of impotent is powerless or lacking in power which is exactly the meaning the OP intended. With the evidence of these two examples it also appears that the OPs use was correct. If you can provide sufficient evidence to prove me incorrect I would be delighted to learn something new about the use of the word impotent but so far you have failed to do so.
He felt impotent in regard to what had "happened".
You still haven't said how the OPs use was incorrect. His use was that he feels the deck is impotent. Powerless and unable to accomplish its task.

He didn't use it in regard to anything else. To be more precise, he didn't specify a cause for it.

Haha, I'm afraid I still don't get your point, possibly because you've pretty much said the same thing each time without expanding on it but oh well. I've looked up several examples of the use of the word and there are plenty that use it to describe objects or things with or without cause. I also feel that the OP did imply cause and mentioned it after saying that he thinks the Karazhan cards are weak, in turn causing the class to be impotent.
Control and Nzoth paladin are still seeing tons of tournament and online play with great success. Now that unicorn priest has been finally discovered, I think it just puts every class on par to be competitive and I believe calling Paladin the "dumpster class of the game" is a really strong statement to make... and one I don't really believe is correct.
If anything, there's greater balance in Hearthstone than there has ever been before.
Im not sure about the balance statement. Im pretty sure game was more balanced in terms of class equality before WOG was released. Just prior to WOG hunter was the worst class but it was definately competetive so was priest with lightbomb and much more stable early game.
And now? You cant really treat priest as competitive class even with karazhan adventure. Warlock is falling behind aswell but zoo is still viable. Above all the final wing of Karazhan hasnt been released yet and Karazhan itself is still fresh so time will show.

I think your analysis is definitely fair. I will say that outside of Lightbomb, control priest was so-so at best and there was no other version of priest that was outstanding. Entomb is as broken a card as Hearthstone has today and resurrect priest has definitely found a great niche that will only grow once it has some tournament success. Particularly the early game presence and strong control makes it a viable deck for sure, one that earlier versions of control priest lacked. I'm sure we will see it in upcoming tournaments now that Kara is allowed.
Outside of priest and paladin, Hunter has seen a very significant power creep and Zoolock is still a tier 1 deck. Renolock could definitely use some improvement, but I'm convinced we have yet to see the best version of Renolock yet. Once someone comes out with a premiere version with a shored up early game and more burst damage resistance, that deck will move higher up in the tier 2 structure.
Overall I think every class out there now has at least 1 version of a viable deck for ladder and tourney play. Yeah Shaman, Warrior, and Warlock are at the top, but I don't think you can look at any class anymore--outside of priest--and say they don't have a single deck that's capable of being favored against other decks anymore. Time will definitely tell, but I'm happy with where Hearthstone is now and, more importantly with the tons of salt poured on Blizzard after Purify, the direction of class balance to come.
Shame. It was my favorite class but it is completely impotent at the moment.
Hard to even believe how bad the Kara paladin cards are.
Nightbane is a card that belongs in a steward of darkshire aggro deck but because of the crapy conditions it can only fit into a weak midrange or control dragon deck.
1/1 tokens get bullied by pretty much everything these days. Its really terrible. Its so bad im almost not sure It should even be put in a dragon deck. Its almost as bad as the poverty portal buff card paladin was given.
Now that priest has that super annoying and effective res. deck paladin is at the very bottom as far as I can tell.
I just don't think you've built a good midrange dragon pally. Templar is the nuts.
So, the second class in the game to get a zoo deck is somehow "dumpster" now?
Okay.
Zoo paladin is shit
I beg to differ. My Menagerie Paladin list is very good =D
Where are you winning with this, rank 25? Post your list. I experimented with that a lot. You're talking beast murloc dragon right? I concluded zoobot is a situational random and just plain shit version of defender of argus. Huge toad is weak and much worse than flame juggler. The decks brought nothing of value really.
I will say, as a beast druid, it's fun to run over a paladin as they try to orchestrate their nonsense.
I just crushed one with my shaman.. he was running the new portal buff card (lol) and dragon egg. It felt bad honestly, clearing the trash over and over again with shaman's all star line up.

Figured you might have noticed it in my signature.
I tanked my rank back down to 20 testing many new deck ideas. Most of the decks wouldn't get me past 17 easily, this one took me from 20-13 in about 1-2 hours lol. Zoobot is good if you play to the mechanics of it. You can't really compare it to argus, it's totally different. Argus is dependent on position and will buff whatever is there, up to 2. Zoobot can buff up to 3 minions at once wherever they are on the board, not including brann. Huge toad and flame juggler are irrelevant. This deck is built around maximizing value of these cards. If you just throw zoobot or menagerie magician in to whatever deck, yeah they will be shit lol.
N'zoth Pally is very good and trolls the sh*t out of Zoo and Aggro Shaman. Also quite good in control mirrors. Hunter and both Druid decks are a struggle. The Miracle Rogue and Tempo Mage matchups are much better than sites like Tempostorm claim.

I wish I could run flame juggler. There was no room and I had to run toad because of the beast tag. You could be right, dire wolf could be the way to go.
I was using it in the right type of deck. Zoobot is situational trash imo. Argus is much better.
Op used the word correctly.
Stop this off topic non-sense please.

Paladin is still good as hell, Rogue is dumpster status since it doesn't have any superb decks in Standard or Wild. R.I.P. Miracle of old.
Nature is the Day.
Man is the Sun.
Woman is the Moon.
The Stone is the Sky.
The Art is the Way.
So I guess it's time to find the unicorn paladin?

Kinda funny that you mention brann. Brann and zoobot with a board of Murlocs beasts and dragons isn't going to happen.
More often you'll be playing brann or zoobot on 3 for tempo with nothing to hit because you're already starting to fall behind.
Sorry friend. Carrots for everyone is just a pipedream
Priest says otherwise.
