Dr.boom isn't a good card to play with N'zoth, because you will have boombots take up space for better cards. Otherwise the deck is strong, just gotta change out boom imo.

boom is still one of the best cards in the game and the deck, and boom bots aren't even bad tbh

I play wild ranked for some random quests since i might as well get stars while doing it, and all i see are the exact same decks as before the expansion. face hunter, zoo with eggs, face shaman with crackle/lava burst and control warriors. I did run into a paladin who had a similar deck to yours and he rekt me.
Yeah, Boom and Chow are shit and you don't want n'zoth to summon them.
chow is essential early game, and dr boom is just too good after the BGH nerf
Chow is not essential early game, and you certainly don't want it to spend a deathrattle resurrection spot and heal the opponent for 5 at that stage of the game. Getting 2 sludges and Sylvanas and Tirion is great, getting 2 Boombots and 2 Chows is not.

I agree on the Boom Bots, but Zombie Chows are essential against secret paladin and aggro shaman. Which are like 80% of the meta at rank 2/3 (at least for me, EU server).

Chow can eat a noble sacrife and live, that's true. But so can argent squire. The drawback in late game is much bigger than the advantage in early game. Just my experience from wild n'zoth pala. In most cases, you don't have a clear board in turn ten. And if you have 2 minions, n'zoth has only 4 free summon slots. They're valuable, too valuable for a chow. Especially in pala which has the best deathrattle minion in the game. You just can't risk losing a second swing. Combo'ed with redemption you can even have 4 Tirions.

It's not relevant most of the time. You want to have value, 2*Shredder + 2*Belcher + Tirion + Sylvanas, against slow classes you don't play the chows, against aggro if you pull chos it doesn't matter cause in the end you still have lethal the following turn (most of the time). Plus against aggro you probably won't fill your board since you (probably) didn't play all your deathrattle minions.

But why should i include a card i might not want to play in 50% of the setups? I'd rather play a card that is consistent. And can you tell whether you face tempo warrior or fatigue warrior on turn 1, the only turn where chow is a good tempo play? I can't. And it's the same for every other class, except shaman. Even against hunter it's not a good play anymore.
Pre-Standard, Chow was arguably one of the best turn-1-tempo plays, it could often trade 2 for 1 and the drawback was irrelevant at that stage of the game. But even then, it was a dead card later on. When pushing for lethal, 5 health can be devastating. And i definitely don't want it back on turn 10+.

As I mentioned above, I face 80% of Shamans / secret paladins, and the deck is almost autowin against control warrior (95% winrate).
Anyways, Cho is more or less a tech card now, I agree, but what do you play instead ?

Quite frankly, my experience differs. I hardly ever face secret paladin anymore, and if i do, it's not as hard as a matchup as it was, especially not for other paladins. Up to turn 6 it is mostly a mirror match since we borrowed the proven pala early game from secret. Shamen mostly concede when their flamewreathed gets aldor'd, and control warrior has lost a lot to the tempo variety, which i consider to be one of the hardets matchups for n'zoth.
interesting discussion. I agree now that removing boom is a good idea, but I'm still split own the chows. on one hand i have had N'zoth summon a chow instead of tirion, but on the other they provide huge early game tempo

has anyone tried this? the Theory seems really strong. You play all the OP paladin early game cards, like Shielded Minibot and Muster for Battle. then you play the good wild death rattle cards like Piloted Shredder and Sludge Belcher. and finally you play the classic late game death rattles, Sylvanas Windrunner, Cairne Bloodhoof, and Tirion Fordring. In addition you can summon chow and boom bots with your N'Zoth, the Corruptor

I play a secret/egg pally with almost the exact same endgame (minus cairne) as your list. Does that count?
In before secret = cancer zomg
different playstyle/game plan, but it's cool to see. could you post your list?

I got to rank 3 with this list :
I feel like Cairne is pretty useless in wild N'zoth decks, he's not good tempo-wise.
I used to be a control player like you, then I took a quick shot to the knee.
