Basically the same mech mage everybody is using with some minor changes. In the mirror match, counterspell can be very bad against spare parts, although having 2 different secrets make sure to have better value from the scientists. Loatheb is very good to protect your board, I run him too. Flamestrike can also be very good against mech mage or other similar aggro decks. Not really sure on cutting a tinkertown and a cogmaster for them, though.

cogmaster is fairly overrated i'd say, but tinkertown i agree on. it ends up coming down to the 30 card limit. otherwise i'd be running two of everything except flamestrike haha.
Counterspell may be useful, but if you really don't want to play 2x Mirror Entity, I think Duplicate could be a better choice. No one will ever expect it, and since Mech Mage lacks card draw, 2 more minions to your hand can sometimes win you the game. Imagine if you are lucky enough to get it triggered on Archmage Antonidas...
Really got to agree with this. I have no idea why people run Mirror Entity over Duplicate in Mech Mage. Your cards have such good synergy getting two additional copies of one pretty much regardless of which is just a HUGE deal especially since you could just end up throwing them on the field for nothing because of Mech Warper.
people run mirror entity over duplicate because kolento runs it lol.
on a serious note, mirror entity is there to help with tempo for mech mage.
if you lose tempo against mech mage, it's pretty much gg.
but now that everyone expects mirror entity, it's not as good anymore. maybe run 1x mirror 1x duplicate is better
i run mirror entity and counter because both are instant tempo plays (counterspell is both a tempo play AND board security). in my time with duplicate i feel it mostly just prolongs an inevitable conclusion (opponent activates the card, holds their aoe, we play the cards we've got, opponent uses their saved aoe. gg) IF you want to run dupe, i'd suggest running all three at the expense of flamestrike. it may injur our mirror match, but is better in the control match-up.
I love the healthy conversation. shame the deck was flamed and put into the negative early on. rip in pepperoni.

Cogmaster helps smooth out your opening play. Between him and Mechwarper you have two strong aggressive ways to open, though each with a slightly different cadence. I've played with and without it and I found he makes the early game a little more consistent.

it is nice to have him as a turn 1, but honestly, mechwarper and mad scientist are equally amazing early game plays. so i only play one cogmaster. heh.
Clearly this is not the best. With so many rogues and paladins the Water Elemental version is lot better.
Don't know, you are cutting another two mechs which even increases the chance to have dead blastmage or tinkertowns in hand. I am not sold on that.
True, is a possibility of that happening, but I am winning more matches with 2 water elementals than the standard version, not lost once to rogues and pala yet.
Mad Scientist deathrattle is useless because you don't have secrets. Raid Leader or Dire Wolf Alpha seems to fit better, at least their ability will increase other minions attack.
Why no Mech Mage doesnt run Echo of Medivh?? It would make sence to run it, since u usually dump your hand and u could repelnish it and dump it again either to solidify the lead or recover after AOE. I know it might be hard to choose which card to replace but still.

echo is neat, but it all comes down to cards you can replace.

Imo, this is the strongest iteration of cancerino mage in the current meta.
I built this deck but replaced Dr Boom with Sneeds old shredder cause I didnt have the card. ill try it out and let you know.
I have all of the cards except Counterspell for this. Seems like an odd addition maybe but idk.

Good point, I may do that.

but we run chuggas for those guys :D
They die easily :)
I went down to 1 Mad Scientist and 1 Mirror Entity but I consider cutting the secret package all together because of zoo and face hunters.
Also i use Mana Wyrms, 1 Polymorph, 1 Piloted Sky Golem and Toshley.
Do the perfect tech really exist? I mean, mirrors, druids and face-hunters sure require different responses.

I still think TBK is great im mech mage because it's even a 7 mana "remove any minion with sparepart and play 4/5" at worst.
