I don't understand why more ppl don't do this. I have been playing Mountain Giants in my Tempo Mage for a few days and it feels VERY good. Well, as good as a deck as inconsistent as Tempo Mage can. I don't even play them with Conjurer's Calling anymore and they still just do what I need.
Reasons why I'm confused I don't see this more often.
1. The support is already there. Most versions of Tempo Mage already play a ton of card draw, twin spells, and card generation so Mountain Giant basically just says 3-5 mana 8/8.
2. The support is really already there. Also, you run freeze effects. I run 1 Frost Nova as well and freezing there board usually means they are getting clocked with a Giant at least once this game.
3. It is a huge threat to play turn 5 or sooner which this deck desperately needs. A lot of Tempo Mage games involve awkward stalling and trying not to die while you draw your combos. This is why it feels so good to just crap out a Giant and say go. They have to deal with it buying you the time you need to get Flamewaker online.
4. It does the thing you need to do to win. The endgame of Tempo Mage is burning down your opponents health total. Clocking them in the face for 8 even once makes this WAY easier.

Ye its probably worth it. Improves your Druid matchup as well.
