Nerfs are bad, but unfortunately necessary to balance the game.
Soooo that would make it a good thing as balance is needed in any game. As for the rest of your post; Change is good. New team is in place there and they are undoing a lot of bad decisions made by Brode and his people who have left. This is their first expansion without Brode. Change is good. Hearthstone, currently, isn't in a good place. Cheers to them for making sweeping changes and excited to see the new expansion to see what their vision is for the game. Brode lost his mojo years ago.
Nerfs are bad, but unfortunately necessary to balance the game, especially when one single class like druid and shaman before outclass everything, it is not a good solution but better than don't do nothing in some cases, this is a chance in one or few cards, the structure and rules of the game remain untouched.
Force cards into Wild much sooner than the life spam in Standard is way more dangerous and is a terrible "solution", this act undermine the entire structure of Standard/Wild formats, change the rules in the middle of the game broken the confident of the players, we just can't trust what Blizzard says anymore.
"Classic cards always will be in Standard" they said, then they start this HoF BS and many cards go away forever.
"You can use classic cards and the new 2 years set in Standard mode, don't need to learn all the cards" they said, then Baku and Genn rotates out after only 1 year.
If they can't keep what they said who can?
You can't lie to your consumers like that and don't have consequences, many players leave and this is one of the reasons.
You're overreacting. It is fun to use words like lie, though.
This is entering conspiracy territory. the decision to HoF Baku wasn't a targeted attack at mage, what are you talking about? They were warping everything about the game and needed a solution; this was one of them. Additionally, how can you also say that the normal rotation is intended to just hit mage. Classes lose cards, that's just what happens. The rotation is most definitely hitting Warlock and Druid more, and that's just how it goes. Also, shaman was the least played. It had 0 decks in fact.
Yeah, as others have said, I love shaman and blizzard hasn't exactly been kind to the class. But you just keep going, figuring out new decks or tweaking nerfed ones. I have to accept standard even shaman is gone for good now, even after it survived the flametongue nerf. That's ok.
In my opinion they should NEVER support aggro decks. People can make zoo type decks if they want, but they shouldn't get conscious dev support like it has. They are dumb. No one enjoys that playstyle -- go face and hope for the best . People only play it because it is efficient (i.e., it gets them shiny stuff faster, like an addict). No one enjoys playing AGAINST that playstyle -- hope I draw removal or concede, yippee.
I would MUCH rather lose to insane RNG than the same damn go-face-and-hope-for-the-best decks over and over.
I think OTK is dumb too. Basically, I want Hearthstone to be a colorful, slightly random chess match. :D
This class is completely useless now. Blizzard has removed all sort of healing it used to have making every other class just being able to go for face without any repercussion.
lol I told this long time ago they murdered mage by rotating iceblock. Mage is originally a spell oriented class iceblock was giving mage foothold to play with spells.

Heard of the class Shaman? Exactly, why complaining about mage lol
