A lot of tech, and weird card choices, cards that are proven to be bad like Luna's Pocket Galaxy.
running bad elementals.. but no Blazecaller, there's probably no point to Arcane Intellect in the deck as you have enough value generators..
what I did like is Drakkari Enchanter + janalai combo, the deck has many board clears(I mean a real odd mage list not your greedy clown fiesta).. and pushing suddenly 16 damage to face if the board is empty (or RNG it) can be quite valuable, sadly the enchanter is useless when you aren't exactly pulling that combo, but just against control.. seems good, probably won't go into many lists in the end.
THis deck is very greedy, greedy lists that aren't warrior or druid almost never actually get played.
@nexit1337 The cards that are core for odd mage are not worth evaluating giving bonus points for playing jaina in odd mage is like giving bonus points for playing Level Up! in odd paladin or Voidlord in cubelock

The power of Odd Mage is to handle the early game with powerful pings, so I don't run alot on the low end of the curve. I do wanna try out the Saronite Taskmaster and Daring Fire-Eater as these cards seem strong. Stonehill Defender and Tar Creeper to stall in the early game, and Black Cat and Pyromaniac have decent size bodies and good effects as well. Since most of Mage's removal spells are Even-costed, Voodoo Doll can be used as single target removal. Zola the Gorgon to get another Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk or one the other other late-game threats. Blast Wave is an extremely powerful card imo, the sleeper of this set. The value that can be gained is enormous. We have low health minions and Spell Damage to get the most value out of this. Harrison Jones to destroy weapons and draw, Zilliax to survive and heal. Gurubashi Berserker is a filler (but it fits the theme of the expansion), but I want another beefy minion on the 5 drop, maybe Cobalt Scalebane is a better alternative, given the high minion-count in this deck. Elise the Trailblazer gives more fuel for the longer games, and helps with fatigue a bit. Astromancer provides more threats, and this deck has a decent amount of options to fill the hand. Azalina Soulthief can steal the win-condition of other decks, like Immortal Prelate Paladin, or Kingsbane Rogue of whatever, which seem like bad match-ups otherwise. And of course Frost Lich Jaina is a win-condition by herself. But she is weaker than in standard Control Mage though, due to the lack of removal.
If it's bad it's bad, but at least the deck looks fun :)
I like the blastwave/flamestrike package, although if you're going that far, you might want to find room for two dragon's fury also.
Either gurubashi berserkers or fire eaters would come out, I suppose. The berserkers are ironically worse when you have a two damage HP.
A lot of hype has surrounded the fire eaters, but I have been testing odd mage today (obviously without the RR cards, but I'm keeping in mind the subs) and I grow more and more certain that the fire eaters aren't necessary.

Another option that can be run is some sort of Secrets-package, since they cost 3 mana. Kirin Tor Mage and Subject 9 look decent here as well. And of course full Elemental is also an option.
I was thinking about Dragon's Fury, but seeing the minions, this feels more like a Tempo Deck, and if we have the board this card is dead. Maybe as a 1-off.
Took all the suggestions to heart and ended up drastically altering the deck. Let me know if this seems better at all. I did end up keeping the manipulators to copy some high value minions my opponent plays but they're mostly for copying Ragnaros.
I would take out the two FM for two copies of Dragon Fury. You need more board clears. Your minions + hero power is not enough to keep up with any board centric deck.
Since ragnaros was my first legendary ever and the legendary i've played the most with I'm going to give a brutal honest truth, Ragnaros is unplayable in formats with sticky deathrattles and this format is full of cubes and eggs, this deck will be unplayable until cube and eggs rotate out.
edit: it has real potential after that, but not for now
With Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk I feel like you need to play Zola as well. Especially against other control decks like Priest it's needed to have an additional big threat as they can deal with almost all threats in the deck. Wait until you have 10 mana and then play Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk and Zola to get second copy in your hand. This has often won me game against other slow control decks.

Heya,
I'd like some fellow Mage enthusiasts to give their opinions on this Elemental Ragnaros Mage deck I cobbled together. I think it explains itself.

Lose the Manipulators, Cinderstorms, Enchanter, and Luna's
Throw in Stonehill Defenders, Blazecallers, Baron Geddon, and a Zilliax
If you happen to draw Zola, you can set up for double Jan'alai, but Zola can be good on her own.
Don't put stuff like Manipulators that are essentially reliant on your opponent's creatures unless you happen to draw the Jan'alai.

My opinions is on your curve. It is horrible. (don't mentioning the pointless cards that you inserted.)
I agree but I’m assuming the manipulators are for some sort of Ragnaros army.
I'm gonna try this abomination xd

this is what i made
Yeah, Gurubashi Berserker was mainly a filler. I'm thinking maybe Blackwald Pixie and Cobalt Scalebane are possible replacements. And idk about the Daring Fire-Eaters, could be bad, could be decent. Looks good in combination with Frost Lich Jaina and Blast Wave though.

Of course, the first days of a new expansions are always so fun ;)
Here's my take on an elemental version:
Actually wanted to try the new secret, but I think Counterspell is better atm.

If you go for big spells, Arcane Artificer is so good, also another elemental. Otherwise, maybe cut the spells to make it more minion-based.

No Lich King? I feel like you are light on threats in the late game. I would add Lich King for sure as a solid late game play.
That joke has been done before
to dominant duke you need to add dragon's fury
