For a long time I’ve played Shaman, Pally or Druid but I really like the idea of playing Mage and as messing around with this deck. I feel like I’m missing something to really make it shine but ideally this is what I think is pretty much referred to as burst Mage, get your opponent to 15 (or 20 health if you have Mana Addict on board) then burst face to win.
You could just net deck current builds of tempo mage...although it's the most cancerous deck in terms of interactivity. You just slam everything into opponents face. I hate losing to tempo mages the most.
Yeah I just hate net decking though, I think it ruins the fun of finding things on your own. I’ve never been legend and I don’t think I’ll ever get there but I appreciate the input. Just looking for tips from Mage players to see their take on this deck.
Big spells mage is really fun though. It is quite expensive but pretty good in this meta as there is a lot of aggressive decks wich are piece of cake for deck full of AOEs. And Jaina is the ultimate control tool.
So first of all I feel like you are trying to combine 2 archetypes : Control and vex aggro mage. First option is to stick to it and have a deck slightly below average because it is not really doing anything well. Since that decks usually shine in one of the different archetypes. Second option is to start going for either Control or Vex aggro mage;
Vex aggro mage: - Polymorph, flamestrike, Frost lich Janna, (Mirror entity can be replaced by Counterspell) + Cinderstorm, Primordial glyph, Pyroblast (If you feel like your lacking some burn damage).
Control mage: Is the more heavy spell variant of mage -> In order to make this work you would need to completely change the hole set of cards. That's why I chose to show you how to make ur aggro mage stronger.
Cheers!
Appreciate it! I know what you mean, my biggest problem is not having glyph or pyro, to be honest where I am in the rankings means I’m getting away with bursting two fireballs and mana addict or frost bolt. But I’ll maybe swap mirror entity for counterspell to try it and add in cinderstorm somewhere. Cheers!
Don't listen to them. Board clear can be quite good in aggressive decks, You may have to hold cards, plan the clear etc, skills that many players don't have. If it's working for you and you actually beat cubelock... more power to you.

The problem with slow AOE in any tempo deck is that if you have to use it, you lost anyway, and the mage spells are not strong enough. 1x Polymorph is ok as a tech card, but Primordial Glyph is far too strong to pass up on in a deck with any spell synergy. Craft those and Archmage Antonidas and you are good to go!
Another direction would be aggro in Wild, just jam in more burn with Forgotten Torch and Mad Scientist, and then more freeze/burn or the secret synergy minions. Anthon, Glyphs and Pyro are not needed.
You're - NOT - gonna wanna run FLJ in a deck with Aluneth. Always drawing a completely dead card is bad, and one of those two cards will always be dead when you play the other first! You'd be surprised how often you'll be 1 card short of a good play in tempo mage.
The secrets are iffy as well as they don't necessarily make for a board presence at all. If you want board presence in a not-control Mage deck you do have an option though: just throw all the burn spells and a couple AoEs in one deck alongside Elemental /Elemental synergy cards! That's what I've done and I think it's the best Mage deck by far in this meta. Heck forget Aluneth and FLJ and just let a Blazecaller and a Pyroblast be the top end your curve lol. Just make sure you run 2 Polymorphs still as the meta needs them, and a Wild Pyromancer as well if you want more AoE (never run Arcane Explosion over Wild Pyro). Also, consider running 1 or 0 Arcane Intellects if you make a tempo/midrange Elemental deck as the 5drop eles are often enough card generation on their own.
That's a pretty good list. I would recommend swapping out the Frost Lich Jaina and Polymorph. Poly is only good if you have/draw the 1 copy when your opponent has a big taunt and you still have some strong minions on board at turn 4 or later, aka - very rarely Cards to consider: Lifedrinker, (2nd) Cinderstorm, maybe Breath of Sindragosa
Thanks for all the help everyone, climbed a few ranks last night with this list but starting to agree that DK Jaina is too slow - now if I took her out would you reckon Aluneth has a place? I find there isn’t enough draw once it was removed, but on the other hand there have been games it’s more trouble than it’s worth!
Or do you reckon putting another cinderstorm in would replace her with enough efficiency?
So here’s the deck I’m currently running:

I think you're trying to build both an aggro and a control deck together. You shouldn't be mixing them because you will get bad results.
Jaina, Polymorph and Flamestrike don't fit in this deck. Or the other cards don't fit in a deck with those 3 cards.
So if poly and flamestrike don’t belong here - do you mind if I ask how you deal with things like Cubelock or clearing the board?
Cool thanks! Well I’ll make some adjustments thanks for the support team, keep it coming!

Love all the responses and i appreciate the help! Sounds like I’ll at least need to craft the glyphs, time to save dust!
UPDATE: DE’d some stuff and crafted 2x Primordial Glyph and Archmage Antonidas
I swapped the for 1x Flamestrike 1x Polymorph and Aluneth.
Thoughts on the changes? Really appreciate the help everyone
