So recently I got Pyros and I wanted to make a deck with him. For now I tweaked the ele mage deck a bit, added more protective and proactive cards, but I'm not sure about some of them in my deck. That's why I would like to ask you to share your opinion about the deck and most importantly to give me tips on what to change.
EDIT: it's updated to its current version in the future i will remove portal for a meteor (when i craft/get one) i'm also thinking to follow people's advice on cutting out tol... for Shimmering Tempest
Edit: you definitely need a more reliable way to finish your opponents
i completely agree on the "edit" part
however just FYI glacial shard proved to be extremely powerful - freezing big minions (and sometimes pirates :P) helped me a lot in achieving tempo; same for nova
Edit: just want to say thanks to the people above, i will test the deck a bit more in casual with the suggested changes inb4 i went with this deck from rank 18 - 12 atm can't give exact win-ratio, if i have good draws - normally i win doesn't matter the opponent (almost)

well, if it works. it works, right ? :)
i feel frost nova is so weak without Doomsayer though. i would just throw double glyph there 'cause you can discover freezing effects anyway. the way i see it you have too many 1 drops, so i would drop something like a Glacial Shard or a Fire Fly for a good finisher like Archmage Antonidas or maybe Alexstrasza ?
I think Flame Geyser is a better elemental enabler than either Fire Fly or Glacial Shard. The shard, you will want to play it when it’s good to Freeze something, not necessarily when you want to play an elemental next turn. And obviously if it weren’t an elemental, it wouldn’t be worth playing here. Also, Fire Fly just seems like it does nothing for me most of the time. About the only matchup it is remotely good in is Pirate Warrior.
Flame Geyser though is great against Paladin, Aggro Druid, and Hunter. The way I am used to playing Tempo/Midrange Mage against Aggro is just kill everything with cheap cards and eventually outdraw them.
Also, do you really need a Firelands Portal with 2x Blazecaller already? Meteor has been an incredible card for me in this meta. Also, I confirm what others have said that you shouldn’t leave home without 2x Primordial Glyph.

yeah, i considered all of the tips in this thread that's why i replaced the nova for a glyph (the reason i didn't add 2 at first, was because i needed to DE something for the craft, f2p here :D) and a shard for antonidas, thinking that two shards won't be that useful
however don't know if this was my bad luck or maybe the deck is not that strong, but after the change i went from climbing rank 11 to 15 in a constant lose streak; i don't blame the changes, after all i only included strong cards
i wasn't wrong about the shard - it does help a lot, but sadly (almost) only against aggro decks just to help me catch up; against murloc pala or taunt warr... well, i could use a Devolve; that's why i am thinking to replace the shard for a poly and try to make the deck a little bit slower with bigger threats
you were right about the 1 drops - normally i aimed to make a fairly fast deck, but yesterday those drops all died to Primordial Drake several times and this made me change my mind
i will make some changes this weekend, now i'm trying to revive handlock in this season
Note: ty for all the tips, i really appreciated them

ty for your tips
let me start:
1) firefly does help a lot and not only in pirate MUs; when played on curve, normally i make good trades with murlocs, beasts etc. the thing is, firefly leaves "value" after itself, value in form of activators for the other elementals - so i can activate one when i need to so it's not completely useless in the late game edit: even against taunt warr i have the chance to preserve big minions from rat+brawl
2) about Flame Geyser: dunno mate, 2 mana for one minion and when this minion is a 1 drop and i can normally trade with firefly instead... personally i don't think it's worth it using Flame Geyser does come in handy, i don't disagree, but that's why i use the steam surgers to give me those spells
3) i agree that meteor is way better than a portal, considering that i already have blazecallers, however i don't have much dust and i don't want to craft one yet it certainly is the better option, no doubt, but i want to spare dust for other decks as well
I would lose some elementals, you went overboard with them i think. As mentioned you will want two glyphs, and i personally don't play sorcerers apprentice in this sort of deck either. One steam surger is enough. Frost nova won't help too much, and i would definitely run at least one copy of meteor.
Here's what is working for me. Been playing it for a couple days now an it feels quite nice.
I use this one, minus the Thunder Lizards and Mana Wyrms, plus 2x Igneous Elemental, plus N'Zoth, plus Flamestrike.
(I may have also cut one or both Arcane Intellect. I seem to remember having too many cards all the time. I probably used the slots for Ooze or crabs.)
I prefer to get on the board rather than play a bunch of spells early, so the Wyrms didn't make a lot of sense for me. And N'Zoth is just such good friends with Pyros, I had to have him. (Even better if you get another Pyros from the Servant.)

I'd run 2x of Primordial Glyph in every mage deck. Card is just too good.
not sure about that frost nova and glacial shard.... maybe double glyph, Flamestrike and maybe Archmage Antonidas to synergize with the Flame Geyser
Edit: you definitely need a more reliable way to finish your opponents

Rempov those glacial shards. Add one more glyph and maybe one pyro blast, but not sure about that one.

I played something similar as OP (with Shimmering Tempest instead of Glacial Shard and 1 Flamestrike + 2nd Primordial Glyph instead of Steam Surger), but got destroyed when I was overvaluing my opponents. So I decided to take a more defensive approach and cut several elementals for Alexstrasza, Arcanologist, Ice Block, Ice Barrier. Got to rank 10 pretty easily, but I guess that's not an achievement at this point of the season anymore.
Let me know what you think.
I've been trying to bringBlazecaller to myKazakus mage and priest, but you can solve it cheaper. I've put a broken meta Mage here.
Tol'vir has been proven to be quite bad in elemental decks. I'd cut it for another glyph and Archmage
SCAWN! PEEDLE SCAWN!!

ok ty guys <3
i completely forgot i had a thread like this
btw i made changes long time ago, the deck here is NOT updatedNote: i will consider adding Shimmering Tempest over something else?
btw Chimera, what's wrong with Sorcerer's Apprentice?
i've played the deck many times and the Sorcerer's Apprentice didn't cause any trouble
