If you have the cards, check it out and see what you think. I played 5 games and lost 2, can’t say much of anything yet because I haven’t mastered the particular strategy.
I have to say now this might be my favorite deck to play.
I am having the same thing with Chingchong, been winning vastly more than losing. This deck is built so well to prevent minion death, the 2x Counterspell and 2x Sepllbender works SO it is truly the saving grace in this deck!
Just keep your spell cards and control their minions while waiting for your legendaries to build up, win. If they take out the lower cost legendaries while waiting extending the game to mana crystal 9+ it’s over, they have usually already done everything they can to “take care of” Hogger, Cairne Bloodhoof or Sylvanas Windrunnder!
Seriously fun, and it seems to be so well rounded against all classes, even other mages! I love fighting Warriors/Paladins the most because they have so little spells that can deal with the legendaries that the spellbinders and counter spells hurt them much more.
Just curious if I'm playing this wrong or getting really bad luck but I can't seem to win against most warriors and hunters. Any rush down deck I really have trouble. Started to be able to beat warriors but hunters its still pretty hard a fight. Im level 2 star masters.
This is WAY expensive for me, but seems quite fun. I've always thought about making a secret-based build for my mage (probly without the legendaries), but I just love the absolute control of the destructive spells (especially AoE), guess I'll make a Hunter control secret-based instead.
I would say you could replace him with any card really, his mechanic can’t be represented in any other card.
If you don’t have him though I don’t think it will break the deck, I haven’t had many opportunities to use him, If I have a choice between him or Ragnaros on a turn I always go for Rag, Rag is so OP I love him!
So try it out with any other card you like as replacement, but probably another legendary that you like like The Black Knight maybe, or again really anything you fancy.
Bkz,
I have not found that, I’m 3* masters and win almost every time. What you should be looking for if you think you will be fighting rush is throw out everything in your hand that isn’t low cost spells, strive for you Frostbolt early game and Cone of Cold. You are trying to wait the game out to turn 5 or 6, if you can do so relatively well and start getting legendaries I haven’t lost.
To nearly reach the same effect as Sylvanas, you can add Abomination. She usually is there for "look, kill her/don't play something!", same as abom. Both having advantages. Antonidas is the third lategame finisher in this deck, and works best if you were "unlucky" drawing lowcost spells, to quickly turnaround the game in one turn. You can exchange him with a pyroblast. It lacks the cycling of low damage spells for high damage though. Thalnos is one of those legendaries you don't need to craft, unless he is one of those "final five cards to full".
So both tend to be more optional than the other legendaries. I would go for Antonidas though, cause he usually adds something to any kind of mage deck.

I suggest The Black Knight only off the top of my head, I personally like Sylvanas Windrunner in general, and can be used in all sorts of decks beyond this one!
Same title as the previous thread but this one can actually have the deck for people to look at.
I played it a couple times, it’s quite fun!

Poor priest...
AH, that's why I saw two legendary heavy mage decks yeserday. Still managed to win though, but they weren't as "balanced" as this ... thing.

If you guys get a chance to play this you should!

I just got all of these cards, going to try it out!
IgniteQ,
I would agree with MSW112 on Archmage Antonidas, You could replace him effectively with a Pyroblast, and that Bloodmage Thalnos isn’t so prudent to craft.
I suggest The Black Knight only off the top of my head, I personally like Sylvanas Windrunner in general, and can be used in all sorts of decks beyond this one!
At least out of the choices you gave I would suggest Sylvanas Windrunner
