I am finding that one copy is good in a deck using Summoning Stone such as this one
Hey, you might be on to something!
The biggest problem I find with this kind of deck, is that even if we actually do Lock and Load fireworks, it leads to...Nothing. A full grip of stuffy stuff usually does nothing. A full grip of stuff with summoning stone on the other hand...
How is lock and load in standard after the format change I wonder.
Ben Brode already said that they can fix Lock and Load by releasing cheap hunter spells. I think they'll do that with the new expansion (the one that'll come out with the formats), so I have high hopes for Lock and Load.
I actually like the card... but it doesn't fit the Hunter archetype. It's a value card that better fits in midrange to control decks and Hunter is all about killing your opponent asap. If ever control Hunter becomes a thing, I definitely expect it to be included.
Otherwise, getting it from Burgle is loads of good fun. Plenty of value to be had there.
I'm running 2 in a Reno deck I'm trying (they're the only duplicates), they're working OK, and as I'm also playing jewelled scarab, tomb spider, webspinner and ball of Spiders no 2 games are ever the same, card-wise ;)
I have tried decks for fun with this. Running all the 1 cost spells, then using it to refill the hand. Getting the 1 mana spell effects on the board can be handy. The really cool thing is that if you have 2 in your hand and you play them, you will begin to get x2 the cards off 1x spell, which can be fun if you have the coin.
As others have said, it is way too slow and basically a dead card for, what.. 80% of the game? It was fun while i was trying it out, even going as far as adding it to my dragon hunter control deck but obv that was a very slow deck.
hotform, (2 in blizzcon), made legend with a lock n load deckles
L&L with Summoning Stone may be a good deck idea to build around.

"Ahhh that's a good girl" - 4/2 Shitty card
That's what happens 80% of the time you play lock and load
^ The Stablemaster is still better than getting too many weapons , or Timber Wolf lol
Try out my new Lock and Load deck:
