I am a little late to the party here, having just starting using a Midrange / Beast Hunter deck last week. I was stuck at rank 3-2, but have now pushed into rank 1.
Just a question for users of this deck about Unleash the Hounds. Everyone seems to include this card but I have mixed feelings about it. I am getting no significant value out of it vs. Priests, Odd Warriors or Even Warlocks (all of which seem to be popular at rank 1.) I'm also not sure it's that great in other matchups. Often on turn 2 I wish I had a more solid beast body to use as a platform for the Crackling Razormaw. Yet, The Hounds takes up a card spot (or two.)
It's great against Odd Paladin but I haven't run into that deck in a while.
Do you auto-include 1 or 2 of these in your versions of this deck? Am I just failing to see its great value?
Its also a good target for dire frenzy, but you are right in that it is there as a catchup card against Odd paladin, great with a hyena on the board. You will not get much value out of it against control decks, but sometimes you can discard an unleash with tracking, that's nice.
