As soon as Halazzi, the Lynx got revealed I considered how it's pretty much a 1 card hunter quest. I messed around with it and came up with this deck. Basically, you use Master's Call to draw out Halazzi, the Lynx, and get your quest from there.
Card choices:
All the non minions:
since you want to get halazzi asap, I simply made your generic spell hunter. There's only 1 catch to it tho, no To My Side! and no Rhok'delar, as they anti-synergize with the quest. Sure you only have 3 minions in your deck, but as soon as you play Carnassa, you'll have 15 raptors in your deck. So no go for them "no minions in your deck" cards. It's a bit of a drawback which you try to compensate with the quest.
the 3 minions and master's call:
Very simple, Master's Call draws you 3 beasts, and as it turns out, even having less only 2 left in your deck doesn't matter, you'll still draw both. This spell gets you that fast Halazzi, and two other cards that aid the quest directly. Springpaw is pretty self explanatory, it helps with the quest a bit and makes it so you can play halazzi even if your hand size is a bit bigger than usual. Tundra Rhino is the beloved wombo combo card of quest hunter, as it can turn your raptor spam into a nuclear bomb. Not only that, it also makes Carnassa a turn 10 = 10 damage combo which can close out games at times.
Strategy:
- Try getting Halazzi, the Lynx asap, as it's one of your powerhouse win conditions. On its own it's surprisingly good too.
- The way to instacomplete the quest is to have a hand size of 3 after you play halazzi (so if your hand size is 4 with halazzi in your hand, you can complete the quest). It's best done at turn 6 to make sure you don't burn your deck and miss something better than a 1/1 rush. The filled hand with rush minions aids fairly well in stabilizing the board too. With Springpaw, you can make the handsize requirement better as you'll only need to have 5 space in your hand after playing Halazzi (so if your hand size is 6 with halazzi in your hand, you can complete the quest).
- After that you can play carnassa whenever you want. A good tip is to not play her for the sake of playing her, and only playing her when it's a good moment. What I mean by this is: if you have a better play with your spells, do that play, don't get too obsessed over shuffling raptors in your deck!
- And here's the cream de la meme: Zul'jin replays your quest! And the raptors are 1 mana, so you can go for 30 raptors!
- important: Master's Call will draw you all 3 beasts, but it will not draw you 3 raptors, because these are essentially considered the same card, I tried this deck with 2x Springpaw and it would only draw 1 of them, so it only draws different names of beasts.
Even though this was intended as a meme deck, since hunter is just that insanely powerful, this deck actually performs pretty damn good! So far I've had roughly about an 80% winrate with it, and a ton of fun too.
Let me know your thoughts and whether you have some juicy quest hunter deck!
And i made a different version too haha, but my version is Quest/Secrets becuase i wanted a reliable way to refill my hand with both Lynxes and secrets, for me also this is a theorycraft but if everything goes well i’ll peobably craft it in a few weeks, here’s my deck list:
Belive me you will refill your hand. Even in the Keleseth version you might get 4 secrets with the Hunter Hero ... the Masked Contenders are bad in this deck ;-). It plays best with five diffrent secrets and Subject if you want to go with her. The secret plans are realy powerful. You will get a secret in your hand + the played one on Zuljin. Also Flanking Strike and Kill Command doe not fit well here.
When utilizing Halazzi you want to keep your hand low. You need to refill with Lynx so subject is actually delaying you as well as all 4+ cost cards.
Even to much 3 cost cards can get you in troubles as well as having the same secret twice .... I am unshure to even use one spellstone.
Hey guys thanks for posting your decks, really cool to see what you guys came up with! Stitched Tracker went completely over my head haha seems like a way better fit tbh.
I personally like relying on Stitched Tracker since the aim is to get Halazzi and then empty your hand to get at least 7 Lynxes, which Master's Call makes a tad harder to accomplish.
I also really REALLY recommend Toxmonger, because it actually allows HUGE comeback turns, especially against decks that you normally wouldn't be able to beat.
I had toxmonger in my first version but it´s a 4 cost card that can block a fast setup. Also the calls are just making it stronger and reliable to get wat you want + they are refillers eiter after raptors are in your deck as well as with the Hero. You always need to keep in ming that you need to play what you have not look at an awesom hand but die ...

well I have tested the deck, so I can definitely say Toxmonger can improve the deck by a lot in terms of reliability, since it allows for comebacks and makes Springpaw less of a dead card after finishing the quest.
Secrets are reactive by nature so using toxmonger as a nother defensive option doesn't sound wrong to me
I do get the point of Master's Call, but I feel like a lot of the time it will unintentionally clog your hand as well.
I think the toxmongers are great but can clogg your hand as well...
But in generall i think the direction is a good setup and worth trying. Cant say if it will be T1 or T3 but it feels like well playable in ladder.
I edited my version to include toxmongers but not the rhino. And i still use only one spellstone. I try to keep costs as low as possible. Basically you should target to play the lynx T6 with 4 cards in hand so you refill 7 lynx and play one.

Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Hi
Made something similar but definitely diffrent. I am not sure about the Tundra Rhino. I know it can make for a big raptor move.
Utilizing stitched trakers makes it more consistent. You don´t need or better you don´t want the 3 card draw.
It gives you some other options too. You can play infinite trackers or you can double Halazzi
Double flare for the refill and well ... Hunters ...
For me it´s theocrafting. I miss the quest and i propably won´t craft it.
---
I also made a Keleseth version. Strange stuff but might actually work. You play the price after the marsh queen ....

And i don’t even play Paladins

Great minds think alike I guess

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
