Hey guys, I ve recently seem Thijs playing Odd Hunter, I wonder, why Blackwald Pixie is more used than Nightblade? Just because you can play it as a simple 3 mana 3/4? In order to take benefit from the Pixie you should have at least 7 mana so Nightblade is just better IMHO... and it's a Basic Card too! Opinions?
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
Why? Nightblade is 5 mana 4/4 Battlecry: Deal 3 damage to the enemy hero, Pixie is 3 mana 3/4 refresh your hero power= 5 mana 3/4 Battlecry: Deal 3 damage to the enemy hero...

Odd hunter is a super aggro face deck. Pixie is a good 3 drop with potential extra value on turn 7 onwards. Nightblade is a shit 5-drop. See the difference?
Pixie is better just if you want to play her without the Battlecry on turn 3. From turn 5 and above Nightblade performs better (has +1 attack) than her. But I think that there are better 3 drops than a simple 3 mana 3 4. At the really end, the real motivation is that she's more flexible, you are right guys. Thanks ^_^

It's a fair question. If you have a Clockwork Automaton on the board, then Blackwald Pixie is clearly better. Also, having the flexibility to drop Blackwald Pixie two turns earlier if you need a body on the board gives it a further edge in my opinion.

Come on man.
If this was a new account maybe I would assume you just started the game. But you have more gold medals on this forum than me.
On the topic: the 3 mana dude is better for many reasons including: much better stats to mana ratio (i e better on curve). That 5 mana dude is just awful. Not even gonna go into more details as many have already explained why that is.
It's a fair question, though instead of reasoning "man, Nightbladeis good, we should run it", I'm thinking "man, in this light, pixie doesn't really seem worth it, if it's just a sidegrade to Nightblade". Even if you're limited to including odd aggressive cards, pixie really doesn't seem to merit a spot.
I see nightblade as insurance for a good turn 7 when your pixie doesnt hit twice when dropped on curve and tbh the amount of times my pixie hits twice is quite rare. I run nightblades because it is literally a pixie with +1 attack once you reach 7 mana.Running 4 pixies in your deck is extremely good, nightblade on turn 7 will always make up for pixies that missed or got removed turn 4-5
IMO, both are pretty bad. Pixies have been in and out of the competitive lists on the rare occasions competitive lists appear. By no means is the card core. I think the archetype could still use a lot of refinement due to the lack of attention it gets from professionals

Is this a troll ?
One word. Flexibility.
Nightblade ain't such a terrible choice, but I would still say Blackwald Pixie does the job better.
Add me up if you're looking for someone to play friendly matches with! I play on EU. LuckyScrub#2745

Yes. A pixie played on 3 mana can deal 6 damage (attack on 4 mana [3] attack on 5 mana [3]) by the time you can play Nightblade for 3 damage.
