What decks are you guys using at rank 5-1 that are actually working. Almost every single player is either zoo lock or some mechathun /combo deck and it seems like hunter decks are losing to both of those.
I had medium luck with spell hunter but that's basically the same deck as last expansion which seems stupid and recruit hunter / egg hunter are too slow against zoo lock..
Bomb hunter was successful until every other opponent became zoo, and I cant seem to make one fast enough for zoo lock.
Feels like hunter is just in a poor place right now as wanting to be mid range in a meta where mid range is basically sidelined.. are you guys finding actual success with any hunter decks?
Yeah Hunter is one of the weaker Classes.... again.
I have quite some decent success withMechPaladin and am at rank2 5 Stars now even tho I played only 15-20 games or so since the expansion is out ( starting from 4 )
You must switch decks. You just can't outpace a zoolock and rank 5-1 are saturated with those decks. If u really like hunter then, you can't do anything really but to grind. It's up to you.
I really enjoy playing even shaman. Works fine around rank 5.

I ve been climbing with hybrid hunter, 60% winrate and rank 2 atm. I'm about even with warlocks. And you really destroy all druids. Odd paladin is a hard matchup tho.

Hunter is NOT weak. It was one of the best classes before Boomsday and still probably is. I would say play hunter and don't play priest or mage.

I don't know what he smoked as well, hunter is really strong. Secret package remains really strong :)
Don't play hunter it's that easy. Find a deck that you enjoy playing of any of the other 8 classes and you will succeed.
I hate responses like this. Blizzard should be able to balance the game fairly but time and time again thee proven incapable / unwilling.
The solution to a balancing problem should not be “just don’t play that class for the next 3 months”.
Because it's not possible, I don't know any game where all the classes/factions/characters are in meta. Hell, even in chess people say that winning with white is easier than black.

Not only that, there's also recruit hunter and deathrattle hunter.
I've been playing Recruit Hunter since rank 10. 66% wr and currently r4, almost r3.
I've been crushing zoo and other aggro decks, honestly. Mulligan hard for taunts and flanking strike. I also run Mossy Horror which is gdlk vs small, wide boards. The only fast deck I feel I need to be lucky against is Odd Rogue.
I don't think Hunter has any T1 deck, but it's got some pretty strong T2s. If you know your deck has a positive wr, I say keep on trucking.

The difference with chess though is apart from the first turn advantage the game is as closed to balanced as it can be.
Blizzard don’t even try to balance this game. Their business strategy is to keep vomiting content so players can never build a full collection and when their favourite class gets pushed out of the meta theyre forced to keep spending money or give up. Why do you think it takes them months to nerf clearly obviously broken cards?
They also want to make cards seem like a physical card game by not altering them, but then they forget 80% of the card pool doesn’t get played anyway. I honestly also think they purposely make bad legendary cards so people will pack them and not the broken ones, requiring them to spend more money.
0 faith in this development team anymore. It’s so obviously about making money instead of making a great game.
Went rank 10-5 with the standard version of Toggalina Druid, no maly. To try and combat the warlock spell I run 2x Florist, 2x Arcane Tyrants and 2x Ironwood Golems. Your best bet is to hold onto every minion you can until you see that they use the spell. Doesn't always work but it's saved me multiple times.

Except they don't vomit content. They make 3 expansions per year, and mostly nothing in between. If they make only 2 expansions a year then the game will surely die due to lack of content.
They do mostly one balance change in between expansions, I believe they should do 2 but not more than that. It would be so chaotic if they keep nerfing cards every week.

Well, they already said that they don't want every card to be good or broken. So yeah they purposely make bad legendaries, no surprises here.

I don't know how to make a great game, so I can't comment.
Secret hunter is starting to become popular, stats show that it’s performing well against combo decks. Aggro is slightly unfavored, but it beats at least one out of the three powerhouse fast decks consistently, being odd rogue. Shows positive win rates against all priest, shaman, rogue, and warrior decks.

I am quite happy with blizz and with my response. Please tell me one time in the meta when hunter was a top dog and the meta was enjoyable... Please I beg you

Control lock with AE and Demonic Project is good against zoo and combo decks.
I got legend with maly druid, 75% of my opponents were zoolocks.
All Skill, No Luck
I hate how I cant beat rock with scissors
